Two weeks prior to our travel we received a message from the property owner Mr Hermann welcoming us and requesting us to send our queries, if any, to his daughter as he was not well versed with english. We did so. And communication with that family began. They are so nice people. Gave us the exact direction and timings of train from Zurich airport. The house was kept very well with whatever we wanted was right at its place. We were AT home so many thousands miles away from our home.
We could discuss our daily itinerary with her on whatsapp and she would suggest some minor changes/addition. They gave us Konus card which made our public transport free of cost in designated area of Black Forest.
Donauschingen-aufen is a small countryside placed at the edge of Black Forest. Very quiet, scenic and pleasant.

Cute and small town. Good for a couple of hours' visit. It mostly seems like a stop over town for people on bicycle trips. Also, on Sunday afternoon everyone seems to gather at cafes for extravagant ice cream sundaes.
A true 5 star hotel: From the first class (and friendly) check-in to the quality of every fixture and fitting, this is a really impressive hotel.
I particularly liked the gym facilities. A huge range of high end equipment, and there was a separate room to use for yoga/ personal exercise (when not used for classes), the pool was lovely with many places to sit or lounge by.
The restaurant was beautiful. The food was healthy and inventive, the wine selection impressive.
Every member of staff I met was helpful and friendly .
Very loud nights even with closed window on the highway side. The staff was very friendly and helped us to change the room to the other side of hotel. It was better, but there was a wedding till 12 am. The breakfast ist not rich and the variety of food can finish quicky. The amazing part and very romantic is to watch the pilots from jets during the breakfast.
A perfect property for the two of us! Perfect location (on the edge of a forest) with outside space, the apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. A great location for walking and cycling. We walked into Donaueschingen (and back) and walked to the train station too. Would definitely book again!
The Staff was very kind and helpful. Nice pretty large and very clean room at 2nd floor . The position of the Hotel Is perfect : less than 10 minutes by car to the center of Donaueschingen but meanwhile It lies at a quiet Village in the country side. There's a huge private cars parking place for free.

The room was fine. However it was very hot, and even a fan wasn't enough. Need some kind of AC.

Clean and cozy single room was perfect for a solo traveler. I was cycling along the Danube and they have ample secure bicycle parking! The staff were kind and helpful. The location is fantastic right in the center of Donaueschingen. Breakfast was good with lots of choices.
The hotel is located in a very picturesque village surrounded by the Black Forest, within walking distance of Donaueschingen. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. The food is also very nice. If I go back to the Black Forest, I will definitely stay here again.

Was a bit confused about the checkout time being at 10h00 instead of the usual 12h00 at other hotels but other than that, very good.

Nice new and clean hotel on outskirts of town. Room was comfortable and well designed, and breakfast as outstanding (full buffet with eggs to order and amazing mueseli bar with nuts; fruits, and two maple syrup!)

Probably the cleanest hotel I stayed in. The lady at reception was a Gem, the room was large and beautiful, it had a kitchen, the place is quiet and the bed was super comfy. It was exceptional
