Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The room and the bathroom were spacious, with a comfortable bed and a walk-in shower, and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for visiting the main attractions in Thale without having to use the car.

All the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant both for dinner and breakfast. The decor is as pictured. I was pleased that the room, bathroom, and common areas were clean and tidy.

Ferienhaus Wotan was a perfect choice for us (2 adults with 8 year old and dog). The location was peaceful, with a big supermarket nearby and easy walking distance from all main destinations in Thale. The kitchen is very well stocked allowing guests to cook and bake anything. There is also a barbeque available in the little garden with terrace. Everything was clean and a lot of the furniture seemed very new. It was so easy to relax there after a day out walking!

Good hiking but also at every place we’ve been hiking were children’s playground, like the hexentanzplatz etc.
Easy access to the tourist attractions for the less mobile people.
We loved Quedlinburg a lot.

Thale is at the northwest edge of the Harz area. There are numerous scenic footpaths as well as bike trails in the area. It is also not far from the great places such as Wernigerode, Goslar, Brocken mountain etc.
We traveled by car as a group of five adults, and one very large dog. Our main goal was to go hiking and enjoy the evenings with good food and drinks. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We are a loud group. The hotel staff not only made us feel welcome, but it was very obvious that they cared about how comfortable we were. Our rooms were clean and tidy, the pup was provided with an occasional treat and we were thrilled with delicious meals and hospitable atmosphere. Hot coffee waited on the breakfast table for us each morning. Tip toll!

It was a very good place to stay. I had a nice sofa in the room, which I really enjoyed using after walking in the mountains. It is well located, has a simple but great breakfast (which I found really tasty and served myself many times), and overall I was happy.
I will come back to Thale, and I will stay in this hotel again without a question.

This is a attic of a newly built house. To reach, you go up a flight of stairs. It is well decorated. We as well as kids find it amusing. There are many things for kids: books, CDs, toys,... The house is clean and beds were quite nice. The weather was cold but the heaters kept us warm and comfy. The small city of Thale has very little things except the fantastic outdoors...
Ready to welcome us wholeheartedly within an hour of booking. Totally idyllic situation in forest but still close to village. Delicious evening meal in truly pleasant gardens. Fine wine and fabulous breakfast. I bought some exquisite gifts made by hand by a friend of Harzresidenz, which I am taking home as gifts for my sons and daughters ❤
The hotel was conveniently located in the centre of Thale close to the cable cars. I arrived very late and collected my key from the adjacent restaurant. The room was very large with a sofa and double bed. It also had a balcony so I could open the door to allow the room to get cool after some very hot weather.
The location of the Hotel couldnt be better, at the top of the mountain, having a panoramic view of the town.

Completely clean. Comfy beds. Well-heated space. Well-stocked kitchen allowing us to cook. The little gazebo outside stocked with comfy seats and drinks for purchase. One hotel restuarant nearby by car. Parking right beside the accomodation.
