It was extremely difficult and there were other guests there who told us all the rooms were taken. Then we tried to ring and did not get any answer. Finally we realised that we needed to get the key from lock box. We also found out room which was contrary to what the other guests told us. It was difficult to get false information.
The hotel is in a great location. It is just in front of the castle. You can walk easily to the castle and with just 5 minutes walk go to the center of the city. This is a very convenient place. There were comfortable beds and pillows. The room is clean and well maintained. The bathroom is clean. The hotel has a private parking lot. It was free of charge and highly convenient to park the car in the hotel while walking in the city and visiting attractions. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of food selections.
The host were very friendly and gave me very good suggestions on the things to do around Sigmaringen. It is important to note that it is a small town, but with a lot of things that are probably on your bucket list. Thanks to them, I visited the Teufelsbrueke, which is a hike from the city. The view outside the window of the apartment will make your Instagram friends jealous, since the window is facing the entrance gate of the Sigmaringen castle.
Excellent area, excellent price. The host was extremely kind and helpful -- they gave me information about getting around the area, and helped me with my bags. They kept the room always very tidy, and the property is beautiful and well-maintained. There are many walking and cycling paths nearby (Sigmaringen is on the Donau pathways), and the train station is a close-by walk, maybe 15 minutes, away.
Everything at the hotel was just fabulous. Great location, great food and great rooms at a very reasonable price. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and even gave us a knock on the door to make sure we didn’t miss out on breakfast. Would definitely recommend it and hopefully we will get to visit again! Thanks for a great stay!
Close to town center. Good value Chinese restaurant (China Wok) and Greek restaurant open late(10, 11pm) next to the hotel. Decent breakfast. Has at least one food item that's hot, which is boiled eggs. Others are cold cut meat, cheese, cucumber tomato, yogurt, bread etc. Decent selection of tea.

The Traube is an old-world hotel on a busy plaza in a quaint town. They did provide good secure storage for our bicycles. The breakfast was quite good—better than the dinner in their restaurant the evening that we arrived.
