Despite initial concerns about its outdated appearance and a faint musty smell in the hallway, my stay at the Steigerwaldhaus turned out to be quite delightful. The cozy room provided all the necessary facilities and boasted a comfortable bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The town is lovely to walk around.
The town is lovely to walk around. Only small but plenty of food choice. There was even an ice cream shop. Theres a park with lots of different apple trees growing and a plumb tree overhanging from the neighbouring church yard.
The old town tower/gates makes a grand entrance/backdrop and the fountain adds a nice touch.
We only stayed for one night but there looked to be plenty of walking in the area.
Beautiful little town. Very relaxing, ideal for wind down after being on the road all day.
Plenty of local beers made here too and biker friendly.
I shared a triple room with the kids. It was very nice and clean. Best of all, there was a table and enough chairs to spend the evening with board games together.

Very central in Schlüsselfeld, easy to walk everywhere. Easy to reach via motorway, yet gar enough from the motorway so that you can't hear it. Very quiet.
This is our second year to stop at this place for a night on the way home.
The hotel is close to the motorway, so that is a main bonus.
The room is very nice and the bed is extremely comfortable which is important after a long journey. The bathroom is clean with soft towels.
The owner lady is very friendly and they do serve fabulous home made food which I could eat every day.
Next year we are planning to stop there again. :)
Absolutely loved, when we booked we were skeptical but we booked because it was just a sleep over, boy were we wrong hotel is absolutely beautiful and spotless clean food is delicious and bonus there are swings for kids to play. Will definitely book again and would definitely recommend.
Really nice hotel with a modern design that has been perfectly integrated into the historical background. Everything from the professional Reception to the Restaurant waitress and breakfast personal was extremely nice.

This is a small typical German hotel but probably the heart of the village as it has a large function room. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Portions were very generous and the food good quality. We had no trouble parking.
