The city is interesting but you can easily see all the important sights in one day. The best thing about the city is its location since you can very quickly reach any of the bigger cities in a reasonable amount of time by public transport

Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt.
Definitely visit Schloss Rastatt. We had a private tour with a very good, knowledgeable guide. Schloss Rastatt Favorite is also a must see. You could use Rastatt as a base to explore the surrounding area...Baden-Baden, Schwarzwald etc. We had a great meal at Lehners Wirtshaus. Reasonably priced, delicious German food and beer. We sat outside under the trees overlooking the Schlossgarten. Lovely!

The light show on the Palace was quite spectacular. We also used Rastatt for a base for Karlsruhe and Baden Baden. We will stay in Rastatt again. The train service is also very good to Karlsruhe. The train became a tram!

I think Rastatt could be a hidden gem.
I think Rastatt could be a hidden gem. There is scope for them to add more furniture and decoration to the palace and realty market that. The area around the palace and gardens is really nice and could be marketed as an upmarket "couples" destination.
The access code to enter the building and retrieve the room key from the key box was provided via a SMS. The 2 twin beds were in a separate bedroom and the double in the main area.
Parking on the grounds of the hotel is easy for cars but large/wide vehicles won’t fit in-between the pillars separating each parking lot.
The rooms were clean. There are external shutters over the windows.
The minibar fridge is small, enough for the drink bottles offered for sale.
We didn’t opt for the breakfast.
The hotel is just 1.2 km away from the train station which could easily be reached by foot and is also very central that one could stroll to all the tourist attractions and restaurants without any problems. The Trang Hotel Team were all very nice and friendly and a shoutout to the very nice owners who made very appetizing and lovely breakfasts for us. All the best :D

The hotel is small but has what you need. There are few parking spots for the hotel visitors. The breakfast was ok, I liked specifically the variety in fruits. The internet connection is sufficient. I extended my stay and got room upgrade which was so sweet of them.
The room was clean and comfortable. The check-in process was seamless and didn't require any personal interaction, so can be done at any time.
The breakfast was also nice and overall value is very good for the price.
I left some personal belongings in the hotel, and the staff was very kind to send them to me by post!
Check-in process is super - you can do everything by yourself using a device in front of the hotel, no staff is required. Shower is amazing, amenities in the bathroom are very good, the Matrass is well, good acoustic comfort. I slept very well and enjoyed the hotel.
Design of the hotel and restoraunt was good and even stylish, in Italian tasty. The breakfast was Ok - good for a small family hotel. Location is not far from the center of the city - it is possible to go by foot, if you have not a heavy suitcase.
The furniture is dated but if you want a budget hotel in the middle of a town with underground car park then this is a good choice. The room we had would have better if it had air conditioning but that is expensive so a large fan would have helped
We only stayed at this hotel one night after arriving in town late on Friday, so we didn't experience much of it, however it was very comfortable and met our needs for a budget-friendly one-night stay. Close to the train station and easy to find.
Everything was very clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was very nice! It was also convenient that we could park the car for free, right behind the hotel. Our room was on the street side and was very quiet. I would recommend this place!
A very neat hotel, located in the center of the town. Comfortable beds and pillows, spacious rooms equipped with everything you need. We spent the night in November, both the bathroom and the rooms were well warmed. Delicious breakfasts!

The hotel has a quite good location. It's only 10 minutes from a train station or the city center. The personnel was nice, polite, and always willing to help. We were satisfied with the cleaning and the quietness in the room.
Good beds. Newly renovated bathroom with very good shower sektion. Good food in restaurant. Easy to park in the street just outside the hotel. Very calm and quiet street along the river.
