We broke the route and stayed overnight. The room is big and comfortable, the breakfast is rich and varying (honestly can’t think of anything I might wanted that wasn’t offered). A couple of dinner options available within walking distance.

Burgau was very pretty to walk around, Small and compact. There isn't very much to see or do but nonetheless it suited our needs. The main church was very impressive, more so on the inside than out! There is a castle there but it was closed, I think it only opens on a Sunday
We visited Hotel Futterknecht twice in May. On the way to the final destination, this hotel was exactly halfway and the location suited us completely.
The young lady - owner of the hotel was extremely friendly. She spent some time talking to us and adviced us where to have a dinner.
The room was very tidy and comfortable.
The breakfast was very rich with a large selection of different foods for all tastes.
We shall definitely select this hotel at the next trip.
We used this location for Legoland which is very close by . It was ok for what we needed. The apartment was large but a bit cold. On top of this we could not have breakfast because our 11 year old had not been vaccinated . We had travelled through 4 European countries where our covid vaccination passports were enough for our child under 12 to be accepted . In general the rules regarding covid restrictions we found a lot of confusion about rules in Germany .
Location was great as a starting point for day trips in the heart of Bavaria (Bayern). Apartment was very clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and very cooperative. The owner and his son shared alot of useful information on the house, the near by area including good restaurants and also recommended interesting day trips in the area.

Good location in the center of Burgau. There is a supermarket, cafe and pharmacy nearby. The train station is 20 minute walk away.
The apartment 35 is very large and comfortable. There are 2 bathrooms, TV, kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave.

Our apartment was on a separate floor, it was cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable. Perfect place if you are traveling with children. Burgau is a safe and quiet city that is a great location if you are looking for a base before visiting Legoland.
