Location just outside town, with plenty of flora and fauna in and around the property. Poll was good for a dip at almost anytime. Loved the laid back vibe. Tours organised through host were also spot on.

The location was phenomenal. The veranda out side the room had a good view, was sheltered from the sun and a pleasant place to sit. The Hotel is set amongst forest and almost on the beach. The wildlife comes to you. The swimming pool has seen better days but it’s in a very special location and the capuchin monkeys regularly visit to hang out with their family. The beach is totally amazing. Manuel Antonio is only a 10 minute jaunt along the beach. This hotel is an experience in itself. Well worth a visit.

A lovely little place! It looked bigger and more lush in the photos, but the room we stayed in matched the pics exactly: it was spacious, clean, and comfortable with everything we needed. The included breakfast was delicious. Most notably, the host who helped us (I wish I'd gotten her name!) provided fabulous service with a ready smile and lovely sense of humor!

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.
We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
The owners were very kind and generous - one evening he prepared smoked fish for us. He shared many of the fruit from the trees on property. He was eager to share Costa Rican culture, food, and wildlife, and make our stay an experience - apparently he has done cooking classes for other guests. Walking distance to the beach was wonderful. Our kids loved the pool. The house (2nd story, where we stayed) was nice. The kitchen and eating space worked great for us. The porch for early morning coffee was great.
It was so nice to stay in a home for a change, and you are Cesar's own private guests as they is no more room for anyone else. The casa is situated down a small quite lane, (3rd house to the right from the yellow one) so you don't hear any traffic noise. The bed was so comfortable, we probably had the best Costa Rican sleep here! Cesar gave us loads of information about the surrounding area and booked a tour for us, he even offers private transportation to help you get to your next destination.
The hotel is created in a fun and creative way. From the various decks, to hanging nets, along with the awesome upstairs bedroom/terrace, downstairs pool, and communal kitchen. The layout provides great opportunities to meet other guests and also give privacy when needed. Morning instructive yoga with other guests was amazing. Out of our 4 weeks in Costa Rica, this was our favorite place by far. Esteban and Zack make you feel welcomed and truly at home throughout the stay.
This place was the best stay we had during our whole trip (we where on a budget though). Really enjoyed the pool area and the friendly atmosphere. Nice common area with kitchen and everything you would expect. Hammocks places to hang and dry your stuff. Nice upstairs area to chill or do yoga. Felt super safe and the staff was really helpful and caring. The marina area had a really nice flair and the boardwalk is perfect to enjoy the sunset in Quepos.
It was our best hostel in Costa Rica. Pamela and Jorge are one of the best hosts we have ever experienced. At our arrival, Jorge picked us up at the busterminal and showed us nice spots in quepos + our first sloth. He also helped us to plan our activities. Breakfast is perfect, we had the chose between a traditional (gallo pinto) and a classic one (fruits eggs and toast). All in all - the best, cleanest, nicest hostel we have experienced in CR.
Amazing homestay in Quepos. The family are so friendly and looked after our belongings before and after check out. The place is really clean and the bed is really comfy. You can use their kitchen which is super well equipped. The location is great really close to the bus station for Manuel Antonio National Park and other places in Costa Rica. Oh and they have a lovely dog! Would definitely recommend staying here.
Everything was wonderful at the hotel. Staff was very helpful- manager suggested places to go, things to do and restaurants to try and maid/breakfast chef was very nice. Rooms were spacious and clean and outside space comfortable. Excellent breakfast! Choice of pancakes and fruit or a fruit and granola bowl. Close to Manuel Antonio National Park and bus service to the park or Quepos is convenient.
It was wonderful the front desk concierge was named Jairo Chacon hope I spelled correctly he was wonderful setup a tour for us and deep sea fishing trip he was wonderful made our stay excellent. I would recommend this hotel for sure a little slice of heaven listening to the monkeys in the am and watching the macaws fly over if you have a chance stay here.
On the beach. Got to visit turtle conservation program nearby and was able to participate in turtle release. Surf lessons available. Near Manuel Antonio National Park. Miguel is super friendly. He makes his own furniture so there’s this special feel of a very simple life.
Breakfast was two choices, but they were both good. Big nice coffee cups!
Two pools was a plus afternoon after beach. Nice, and personal people working at the hotel. Very fresh interiour at the new part and the restaurant.
Loved hot water in the showers!
Very unique place to stay in Quepos. Far from the city but very close to the ocean. Definitely worth the extra distance to enjoy an almost private beach 1min away from the bed. Miguel is a very nice and easy going host. I can only recommend it.
First place in Costa Rica where you have all the detailes set. Hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, tea, cofee, sugar, all kitchen things, king size bed, tours information, everything. Soon AC will be instalted. Realy amazing place.
The host was super nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. the hotel is right across the street from a good seafood restaurant and not far from the little town of Quepos.
Incredibly nice and helpful staff (thank you!), nice pool area, enough bathrooms for everyone, big common kitchen, walking distance to Quepos main bus station
