It was a perfect stay, very clean, very organized. I stayed here a year ago too. The staff is very helpful, the breakfast is really good with a great variety. The cleaning ladies also make a great job in the rooms.

We liked the waterfall repelling, spent half a day at the rope swing, major highlight of the trip, didn't spend a lot of time in town, loved the Fortuna waterfall, didn't prefer the free hot springs. We are a family with 3 teenage boys. We would have liked more time here to explore and visit another hot spring/spa.

Fortuna was lots of fun. We went to hike at Mistico Arenal hanging bridges and visited the Don Olivo chocolate farm. They were both great outings! We also enjoyed local food and the pool at our hotel, Hotel Arenal Country Inn

Best: scenery, good tours, our local volcano tour guide was excellent, good history👍great hike! Enjoyed the Fortuna waterfall hike BUT beware of the steps…great hike but 500 steps DOWN, then 500 steps BACK UP!😉 beautiful falls and swimming area! Loved our zipline and rappel tour!! (Go Adventures!) And the hot springs across the street afterwards…ALL in the rain!🙃

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was close to the local tours and the busses picked us up for trips to the Arenal volcano and to North Fields Coffee. The view of the volcano from the main lodge area was a treat, and the food was delicious. We would go back again!
I loved this cute little hotel. Super close to the centre of La Fortuna and easy walking distance to everything, but also the room was very quiet.
The pool is lovely although doesn't have much shade in the middle of the day.
The hotel is trying out fridges in the rooms and I very much appreciated this! Having a kettle would make it perfect.. I bought my own down the street for morning tea 😅
The staff are lovely and helpful and the breakfast at the cafe next door is delicious! I had a few meals here and all were nom nom nom.
The perfect place to cozy up for a few nights while seeing all that La Fortuna has to offer. The complimentary breakfasts were authentic & great, the staff was absolutely amazing and always on site if needed. They all spoke good English too for folks who are traveling from English speaking countries. The only thing I would do differently next time is call the hotel directly to reserve - to avoid booking.com fees (around $50 extra)
Fabulous small hotel, beautiful garden, very nice staff (thank you Allan!), food was delicious (sometimes for a long wait but the place is so nice), nice singer every night, easy to go to the village of La Fortuna (5mn by taxi - 20mn walking)..

The surroundings are magical and the cabin very spacious, huge glass walls to observe the surroundings. Beautiful location on the edge of the rainforest on the foothills, 5 min driving from the waterfall and outside of the town of La Fortuna. Excellent for birding, even the hotel grounds had so many species. Pretty pool and observation deck. If budget allows take the lodge with a pool and deck ;)
Both of the receptionists were friendly and kind. The property is absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for a lush hotel that has a lot of amenities outdoors, I would suggest this hotel. You are able to purchase some tickets for things to do in Fortuna right at the hotel. This was very convenient! The room was clean and a great size. I would recommend 100%.
Everything was amazing. The hotel is located 5 min away by foot from the center of La Fortuna. It offers great tours at a reasonable price, I think cheaper than what you'd get from the tour offices downtown. Our room was spacious and it was cleaned and tidied every day. The staff were super helpful. Literally zero complains.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Free breakfasts were very good. The room were very roomy, clean and quiet. Grounds were beautiful. Parking seemed very safe. STaff was attentive and helpful. It is outside the busy La Fortuna central area so it was very quiet.
The room was clean and pretty big (also bathroom). The beds were also very comfy. The view of the room window was amazing! the hotel is locatd a little bit outside La Fortuna, but perfec for reaching it and all other activties around. Would recommend and would stay again.

The room was spacious and the location of the hotel is in a nicer quieter part of La Fortuna, quite near the waterfall. The hotel owners are very kind and friendly. The breakfast available onsite is quite good. The hotel grounds are a lush jungle garden.

Hotel Alicia was in a great location, a few minutes' walk from the centre of La Fortuna and a big supermarket. The couple running the hotel were very friendly and served a great breakfast to order each morning- and we loved their cute dog!
