Location was fantastic and much better than staying in Field during summer where there unfortunately is not much happening. We did have a nice dinner at Truffle Pig.
Loved the direct access to Kicking Horse River and facilities for camp fire and lounge chairs in the sun.

The location cannot be beaten!! You are right on the lake & the lodges are very cute. The staff are super friendly & the shuttle down to the car park works very well. The breakfast was good (a little expensive) & the rooms were very comfortable.

At first, I was surprised it was a house, then we stepped inside and wow! It looked so much bigger on the inside and well decorated. We were both impressed. Luc was very helpful, suggeating activities in the neighboring towns, and always checking that we had what we needed. Extremely courteous.
It's proximity to many tourist attractions is key; Emeral Lake, Natural bridge, Takkakow Falls, Spiral train tunnel, 20min away from Lake Louise.
If you love trains, it's the place for you, you get to watch them go by through the dining room window as you eat your meal.
The restaurant nearby is quite good.
Offering panoramic views of Lake Louise and the Victoria Glacier, this 4-star resort is in Banff National Park. The resort health club facilities includes a heated indoor pool and a state-of-the-art...

Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't get to experience a roaring fire in your lake side room, the hiking trails even around the lake are beautiful!! The Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse pass is on the same road, and is a Must See! The Town of Field is a quaint little village that is great for photos of train tracks and often Elk.
Takkaka Falls are also just before the Village of Field exit. Although the road to the parking lot is closed until spring and its like a 16 km trek in! So go in the summer for sure to get right up to the falls! They are stunning!

We liked the room but the stairs up to our unit were extremely steep when carrying luggage. Our balcony overlooking Emerald Lake was lovely but smoky while we were there. We took our own fan which was good advice from my sister. It was very hot at that time. Once the tourists left the lake around 5 pm it became very peaceful. Enjoyed walking around the resort in the evening. It was too hot to use the wood burning fireplace. Would love to come back to stay in some of the other cabins.

We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field.
We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field. Notwithstanding this, the village itself is quite interesting. To stay in the village overnight you have to be impervious to train noise. The mountains surrounding Field and the attractions close by are outstanding. It's beauty surpasses Lake Louise, in my opinion.

We had a really great time here .
We had a really great time here .If anyone is looking for a little winter wonderland this is the place. Beautiful place to stay right on the lake. My husband and I went snow shoeing which was a really beautiful trail. Had an amazing dinner and bottle of wine curled up by the fire in the main lodge, service is great. Would highly recommend checking this place out with your partner. Very romantic.

Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information...
Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information center, and nearness to local attractions such as Kicking Horse Mountain and Takakka Falls. I understand that there is a 2 hr walk from Takakka falls that takes in 5 other waterfalls, several as appealing as Takakka Falls that I wish I had known about sooner.
Very comfortable bed, lovely location in very friendly Field and only a short scenic drive to Lake Louise and to Banff. The room was really cosy with the fireplace and the TV with Netflix was appreciated after busy days exploring. Luc was really friendly and gave us lots of recommendations of places to go. Great little pub just a 2 minute walk away with lovely food and friendly staff. We loved our stay in the Canadian Rockies Inn!
The location is enviable but you can’t allow that to carry the hotel. It’s a shame, as better management and more attention to detail could make this a great property. It seemed that the last refurbishment was back in the 80s or 90s and that ever since it has lured in guests dazzled by the stunning surrounds. However the bar and waiting staff that we had were cheerful fun and friendly for which we were thankful.
Beautiful little cabins in a gorgeous setting. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is delicious but the service stands out. I travel for business and stay at hotels every week. These folks blow away normal hospitality. Many examples like having the fireplace set up to just light with a match. Kindling in place. Trailmix for your hikes and gourmet dinners. I miss it already.
Very comfortable and clean place set in the mountains that had everything we needed. It had a small kitchen that was very functional, a large bathroom with laundry and a bed with a sitting area and TV. It was a basement apartment with its own entrance and was very private. Field is a great spot to explore Yoho Park and all the trails. Charlie was very accommodating and helpful.
The staff was very kind, the lodge is near the river and the mountain, the view is beautifull. Check-in and out was efficient. The room is gorgeous, the amenities are great and the tub was spacious. Breakfast was good, they sell s'mores kits to make some on the fire pit near the river. There was a complimentary canoe slip to go canoeing for free on Moraine Lake.
The view. Without a doubt. The room has a balcony overlooking the lake which was especially nice to have a coffee in the morning. The fire in the room is great to sit around in the evening. There is plenty of parking for hotel guests and the shuttle to the car park is regular. The staff also offer to take your luggage to your room if it is too far to walk.
Located in nice town of Field. Prime location to access Yoho National Park and Lake Louise. Luc was an amazing host and was available for anything we needed. We enjoyed the Truffle Pig restaurant in town...walking distance in a couple minutes. The home is very well appointed. Furniture was most comfortable we had in several weeks of travel.
The location is great , nice hikes , having a balcony is very nice.
Quite clean and they provide fire wood for your fireplace. Nice bathroom and clean.
Staff were AWESOME and very helpful . They have a large outdoor fire pit to enjoy with willow chairs all around. You can rent a canoe to go on the lake but $75 per hour .
Location was fantastic and much better than staying in Field during summer where there unfortunately is not much happening. We did have a nice dinner at Truffle Pig.
Loved the direct access to Kicking Horse River and facilities for camp fire and lounge chairs in the sun.
The bed was good with quality linen
the accommodation was very clean and felt as though it had recently been refurbished.
it was perfect for us……spacious, comfortable and very clean.
the location to Yoho Park was ideal.
It was also nice to be in Field and enjoy the local history and hospitality.
The location and view of the lake was absolutely stunning. Having a fireplace in the room was really great, after dinner we used this and found it very relaxing. Hot tub was clean and facilities around it were really useful. We can't wait to come back!
Great location, accommodation, meals and service. Our cabin was right on the water and near the main lodge. Dinner was great. The included breakfast was average and could use some improvement. Great location as a base for hiking and fishing.
Luc was amazing, he provided us with extra cooking utensils and electric plate to cook, also guided about best attractions nearby and must visits, would recommend this place, nice homely feeling. Place was clean and well managed.
We spent in the Canadian Rockies Inn 5 nights in September 2023. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, The kitchen was well equipped, The apartment was spacious. The host was very nice and helpful.
A lovely room completed to a very high standard. All amenities as described, including a little terrace outside. Parking right outside the front door & easy walking to nearest pub/restaurant.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room was very cozy. The location near the mountains was amazing! We really enjoy our stay in the hotel. Definitely will be back
the view and walk around the Lake
