Staff was really friendly and helpful. They gave me a great view from the cabin I was assigned. Other cabins views were not as good. A small seating area by the close river was beautiful. Breakfast was really nice.

Wow, the vistas of snow-clad mountains, frozen lake and emerald green river take your breath away. The rooms have character ++, warmth with the ambience of your own open fire. Fantastic looking interior (especially upstairs lounge), very helpful staff, excellent well-equipped kitchen (and laundry), very comfortable room and beds, with modern toilet and shower nearby, fantastic looking complex, highest standard "hostel" more like a hotel

Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't...
Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't get to experience a roaring fire in your lake side room, the hiking trails even around the lake are beautiful!! The Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse pass is on the same road, and is a Must See! The Town of Field is a quaint little village that is great for photos of train tracks and often Elk.
Takkaka Falls are also just before the Village of Field exit. Although the road to the parking lot is closed until spring and its like a 16 km trek in! So go in the summer for sure to get right up to the falls! They are stunning!

We liked the room but the stairs up to our unit were extremely steep when carrying luggage. Our balcony overlooking Emerald Lake was lovely but smoky while we were there. We took our own fan which was good advice from my sister. It was very hot at that time. Once the tourists left the lake around 5 pm it became very peaceful. Enjoyed walking around the resort in the evening. It was too hot to use the wood burning fireplace. Would love to come back to stay in some of the other cabins.

We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field.
We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field. Notwithstanding this, the village itself is quite interesting. To stay in the village overnight you have to be impervious to train noise. The mountains surrounding Field and the attractions close by are outstanding. It's beauty surpasses Lake Louise, in my opinion.

We had a really great time here .
We had a really great time here .If anyone is looking for a little winter wonderland this is the place. Beautiful place to stay right on the lake. My husband and I went snow shoeing which was a really beautiful trail. Had an amazing dinner and bottle of wine curled up by the fire in the main lodge, service is great. Would highly recommend checking this place out with your partner. Very romantic.

Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information...
Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information center, and nearness to local attractions such as Kicking Horse Mountain and Takakka Falls. I understand that there is a 2 hr walk from Takakka falls that takes in 5 other waterfalls, several as appealing as Takakka Falls that I wish I had known about sooner.
Simply a most fabulous place to visit and so very cosy. We will definitely be coming back. The fireplace in the room was a great addition and we very much enjoyed the games room in the lodge as well as the excellent cuisine. The bed was too soft for us, however we find that to be the case in many north american hotels. We are not fans of these mattress toppers and removed it from the bed. We can very much encourage anyone looking for a romantic getaway to come out to Emerald Lake. It was very good value and simply wonderful.
Emerald Lake is an incredible place in terms of scenery, geology, etc.
Meals in the dining room were well prepared, but pricey. Lounge food also tasty and less expensive.
Shuttle between overnight parking and lodge was efficient and shuttle drivers were friendly and informative.
Great views from many locations.
Hikes were great, especially the trail around the lake. Swimming was cold, but worth doing and many places to enter the lake.
Very comfortable bed, lovely location in very friendly Field and only a short scenic drive to Lake Louise and to Banff. The room was really cosy with the fireplace and the TV with Netflix was appreciated after busy days exploring. Luc was really friendly and gave us lots of recommendations of places to go. Great little pub just a 2 minute walk away with lovely food and friendly staff. We loved our stay in the Canadian Rockies Inn!
We loved that our room was close to the lodge, had a nice forest view, and was both cozy and comfortable. It was especially great relaxing in front of our fireplace after a fabulous meal at the lodge! The friendly, helpful staff, amazing ambience, and incredible walking paths around the lake made for a wonderful stay at Emerald Lake. We look forward to returning in the near future!
Very comfortable and clean place set in the mountains that had everything we needed. It had a small kitchen that was very functional, a large bathroom with laundry and a bed with a sitting area and TV. It was a basement apartment with its own entrance and was very private. Field is a great spot to explore Yoho Park and all the trails. Charlie was very accommodating and helpful.
The staff was very kind, the lodge is near the river and the mountain, the view is beautifull. Check-in and out was efficient. The room is gorgeous, the amenities are great and the tub was spacious. Breakfast was good, they sell s'mores kits to make some on the fire pit near the river. There was a complimentary canoe slip to go canoeing for free on Moraine Lake.
The staff were fantastic and every little detail was perfect. We were celebrating my partners birthday with a trip around Canada. We were only staying one night and were greeted with a bottle of fizz and it was one of our favourite places out of the trip. Even better than the chateau Lake Louise! Would love to come back and stay for a lot longer.
Lovely hotel. Bed was incredibly comfortable and room was so cozy! Gas fire so nice. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was not as good. It was great to be so close to main sites in yoho park. We got a complimentary canoe rental at lake moraine which was a surprise and was great!
We loved the location and surroundings in Field, BC. Wonderful little village with an excellent restaurant down the street. Luc was an exceptional, responsive host who made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. We loved meeting and getting to know him.
the accommodation was very clean and felt as though it had recently been refurbished.
it was perfect for us……spacious, comfortable and very clean.
the location to Yoho Park was ideal.
It was also nice to be in Field and enjoy the local history and hospitality.
Great location, accommodation, meals and service. Our cabin was right on the water and near the main lodge. Dinner was great. The included breakfast was average and could use some improvement. Great location as a base for hiking and fishing.
Beautful lodge and should have taken advantage of the hiking trails nearby (wasn’t aware of them prior to arriving) - more information on the website on this would be good.
we loved the fire place by the river and made great use of this.
Beautifully and tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious for a couple. Fantastic location in Field. A perfect base for a hiking trip. Luc the owner gave us good recommendations for places to hike, and we enjoyed meeting him.
the Staff were very accommodating. love the wood burning fireplaces and view of the lake (even when it is snow covered). had a tremendous walk around the lake. Quiet and I actually like the absence of wi-fi.
We spent in the Canadian Rockies Inn 5 nights in September 2023. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, The kitchen was well equipped, The apartment was spacious. The host was very nice and helpful.
A lovely room completed to a very high standard. All amenities as described, including a little terrace outside. Parking right outside the front door & easy walking to nearest pub/restaurant.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room was very cozy. The location near the mountains was amazing! We really enjoy our stay in the hotel. Definitely will be back
