I would like to give this property 10 stars. We loved the farm stay, the owner was lovely, took time to walk us around, show us the animals, my little one was able to feed the chickens, sheep, pat horses. The guest house place was gorgeous, furnished and decorated with quality furniture, spacious, spotless and well equipped, set on a peaceful farm. However the management company that is managing the booking was a nightmare, the process of check-in invasive, inappropriate, slightly dodgy and I am also pretty sure against booking terms and conditions. It was worth it in the end, and we loved being there, and were very comfortable, and enjoyed being so close to the horses, cows and enjoyed the tranquility and nature around us.

Where else in the hunter valley could you stay for $100 per night and get more than you expect. I don't normally book at this price point but decided to select on ratings and this little gem appeared. We seemed to get exclusive use of a great bathroom. The owner Chris was very friendly.

It was situated in the beautiful heart of Hunter Valley in Ellalong. It showcased the beautiful landscape, peace and abundance of Northern side of NSW. The open space the cottage sits in is amazing, it is small and comfortable, has everything you need for a getaway. Myself and my little family enjoyed our stay that we extended an extra day! Do not miss out on this beautiful farm stay in beautiful Ellalong, Cessnock is only a short drive away as well as the wildlife park. It felt very homey and cosy, and waking up to nothing but nature was the plus.

Very comfortable stay, beautiful property with great facilities. Tidy, plenty of space and lovely views, shops only a short drive away. Hosts and cleaners were very pleasant, and check in was very smooth and simple.

Clean, easy to access, responsive host. Bathroom and hot water was fantastic considering it being an ‘off the grid’ home.

Hunter Valley Travellers Rest Motel offers comfortable air-conditioned rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy and outdoor meal using the barbecue area.
