Location was good for the purpose of our visit. I enjoyed the bath (chronic pain sufferer) which was a spa however I was not game to turn on jets for fear of what might come out. The shower had good pressure even if it was over the bath & head not adjustable at all. The small courtyard was a nice bonus, this was wide open upon entry which I think was done after we booked to air out. It was very stale inside. Beds were average but had electric blankets which could be good in winter time in this location! Unfortunately I don’t have anything more positive to say about this stay.
Featuring a swimming pool and on-site restaurant, this hotel offers refurbished rooms with heating, air conditioning and an LCD TV, up to 100mbs wireless internet (speed may vary from time to time)...

I stayed in Queanbeyan as an alternative to staying in Canberra where I had an appointment. Queanbeyan is a very pleasant city with good amenities, all facilities and in close proximity to Canberra. It is, in my opinion, more friendly and easier to get around.

Our first time visiting had us low in expectation for the most recent trip we had, but it seemed to be an entirely different town this time! Friendly locals, clean look, many food and stay options, family friendly and felt moderately safe. Leisure activities may have lacked, but Canberra is just next door, so that was no issue for us.
An overall pleasant town and worthy of visiting.

The place is very clean and the town is well looked after. Has great parks and fantastic walking paths. Everything is easy to get too.
Had dinner at the Tourist Hotel. This exceeded our expectations. Well worth going and trying the hot rock where you cook the meat yourself.
Easy place to get around.
Had breakfast both days at a Cafe over near Spotlight. The meals fantastic. Worth a visit. It looks like it is a family operated business.

Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower.
Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower. The shower is designed for short people and the shower head plastic parts have been damaged by the hot water. I love a warm shower, not too hot, and the heat available in the shower is in abundance which I reckon you could boil an egg.
I would come again though as this shower head, above described is not definately not a deterrent, just an idea for improvement, and it is good the feel like a giant just that once in a while.
Fresh white sheets changed each day. The hotel architecture is dated but should not put you off. The cleanliness, room facilities included a full cooking oven, microwave a full size fridge with a bar. A large bed in one room with a single in the main room plus a sofa. A Tv in each room - hot water to dream of and strong pressure.
We stayed 2 nights and fresh sheets were on each bed when we returned.
Certainly would stay again - especially easy to access National Gallery etc from this side of Queanbeyan - just a ten minute drive.
Our room was spotless with quality linen. The value for money was exceptional, and the location perfect - the beautiful Queanbeyan River just across the road. A short walk to a great outdoor/ indoor Mexican restaurant overlooking the river with lots of happy people. Other restaurants are just a short walk over the bridge. It was a perfect stay for my daughter and me. I can highly recommend this motel. Check in and check out so easy. We will certainly book again.
This is my second stay at the Country Plaza Motel. It has that degree above the usual motels. The furnishings are of another era and so well looked after, the room is clean and the bed oh so comfortable. The bathroom is fastidiously clean and well appointed. Quiet location. Queanbeyan can be cold so reverse cycle air con and electric blanket made for a cosy room. I will definitely go back as the added bonus it is the perfect location for my trip to Queanbeyan.
Jenny and Henry are very attentive hosts and I was so please with our previous stay that I gave an undertaking to return.
Although, it is a small motel, the friendliness and attentiveness of both Jenny and Henry was the most memorable part of the stay.
Wonderful location, very clean and very pleasant place for a stay with your family and mates,we were group of 5 families and friends stayed overnight on a weekend.Everyone of us loved and enjoyed the stay. Would highly recommend this Canberra Ave Villas.
Lovely hosts, nothing too hard, convenient location among a variety of reasonable restaurants and cafes, quiet, none of the angst of Canberra hotels/motels, reasonable price, only nineteen minutes from the centre of Canberra.
The staff were wonderful - welcoming and very accommodating, their assistance was greatly appreciated. The facilities were clean and a lovely place to stay within easy reach of Canberra. Thank you so much!
I have stayed there before and will use it again next time I visit Canberra or Queanbeyan. Good value for money great location and reliable. Clean and comfortable and pleasant staff at reception.
The most comfy bed in a motel we have ever slept on! We actually decided to stay another night because we were so well rested, with a puppy AND a One Year Old in the room with us!
More affordable than staying in Canberra but still a close drive away. Walkable to Queanbeyan parkrun which was why we chose the location. The room was spacious and warm.
The quiet room was great and the motel is very close to shops and restaurants in Queanbeyan. Travel time to the popular sites in Canberra was generally minimal.
