Maryborough is a lovely, old goldfields town offering many interesting Victorian and Edwardian era buildings to view including the spectacular railway station. Close to the center there are two wonderful parks, both worthy of exploration.
It is an excellent base for a touring discovery of the immediate local area of smaller towns and vineyards.

Maryborough has two beautiful parks with lakes, lots of bird life including swans and ducks. there are plenty of playgrounds, and an excellent swimming pool complex including a section for babies and toddlers. Great assortment of shops and eating places, we enjoyed very good fish and chips and yummy Chinese food.

We had the best view of Maryborough, the corner suite was just magnificent. The ambience of the room was just beautiful. The decor in the room was of high quality and the very large spa in the very spacious bathroom was of a very high standard. The Super King size bed was so soft and comfortable and just a place to dream on. All the fittings and fixtures were done to remind quest's of a bygone era. All the amentities in the room were of a very high standard. The lift was fantastic and running so smoothly, a secret surprise. We enjoyed our stay very much so, we will surely stay again. Thank you to all the staff and their attention to detail. It made our stay very pleasant. Also the off street parking was an added bonus. Loved it, wished that I could have spent a week instead of a weekend. Thank you what a wonderful stay.

We went to Maryborough solely for a funeral.
We went to Maryborough solely for a funeral. Town is quite tired. Easy to find our way around. We had an excellent breakfast at The Station - the biggest “big breakfast” we’ve ever had! Great value. But the hot chocolate was so weak I couldn’t taste the chocolate!

You must go to Wolseley Cottage ( cottage closed but research history centre open, check times, think it's only open Tues & Thur morning 10am to 12noon), magnificent
Maryborough Railway station and Cafe. Lots of old buildings and shops to browse within a short walk of each other throughout the town. Check out collectible toy shop...in fact check out all the shops new & old ware & op shops. We had dinner at Park House Hotel...opposite Princes Park. No frills, good inexpensive food. Princes Park interesting place to wander too.
Well equipped with everything you needed. All good quality furnishings tastefully done. Comfy bed with electric blanket, and lounge chairs for relaxing. Plenty of continental breakfast supplies. Good size bathroom. Very quiet location at the rear of the house with private entrance. Easy walking distance to eateries, shops and hotels. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend the place to friends.
The hotel is a beautifully restored building with a great restaurant. The owners are on site and are really thoughtful and attentive to guests needs. We travel quite a bit internationally but the King room we stayed in here would have to be one of the top rooms we have ever stayed in. Also the location is great, being in the centre of the town with guest parking.
This was the cleanest motel/hotel we have ever stayed in. It was an absolute delight. This was basic accommodation, but everything was clean, well-maintained and worked as it should. The appliances all looked new (although they probably were not) and worked with no fuss.
Immaculate. So clean. I'm sick of staying in hotels where they charge you a fortune but don't clean the shower or vacuum under things.
This motel was spick and span. Really appreciated that. Also great cutlery and plates etc.
