Audrey was incredibly welcoming and warm. We had to make some changes to our booking and she couldn't have been more compassionate or helpful. The view from the room, across the rolling hills to the ocean, was beautiful. The building is a simple 70s structure but the rooms were really clean with comfortable beds and nice bedding. There was also a lovely sitting area to look at the view. We used this as a base for the Great Ocean Walk - a great midway point. Great value for money and a nice casual restaurant on site (also with a great view).

The place was more than equipped with absolutely everything needed. Unfortunately we only had 1 nights stay but the 5 of us could have very comfortably stayed a week or more.
Great for overnight stop. Ideally located for Melba Gully for the glow worms. great food in the restaurant for evening meal, but no facilities for breakfast at the weekend.
Staff were really friendly and helpful

quiet envirement but top for us !
We stayed one day longer than we planned and that was a good thing.
The rooms are good /It is not HILTON hotel but for us it was a very nice basic motel.
We've got excellent tips from Audry, the woman who was working in the restaurant.
Very recommendable !

We used this motel because it was the nearest accommodation to the glow worms we wanted to see. The accommodation was very basic and in need of updating, it was okay for one night but would not recommend it for longer.

We loved being surrounded by nature in complete privacy.
We loved being surrounded by nature in complete privacy. As we wanted to have a complete rest the complete lack of internet reception was absolute bliss. Our little dog loved his stay. The billabong & glow worms were worth the effort, even in the rain. It did rain most of the time (July), but it was wonderful hearing it on the tin roof. Our advice would be to bring a warm jacket , layer up & embrace it. We recommend a visit to Nourished, as the weather was bad & it was quiet the staff member kindly allowed us to bring our small dog inside by the wood heater. The burgers were very fresh & the atmosphere is great. If you are traveling through Colac the lake & Botanic gardens are definitely worth a visit.
Cons: If you do not enjoy drinking brown water, byo. We drank the water in our cuppas with absolutely no ill effects. We would definitely not recommend the property for anyone with even minor mobility issues as the shower is very difficult to exit & extremely slippery, with no handrails. We found the bathroom exhaust fan worked perfectly only if the bathroom door was open. Also, the lounge furniture is extremely low to the ground. A simple clothes airer/rack would have been excellent for drying the large towels & wet clothing.

Laver hill region is a nice get away from the city life, great little paradise on the great ocean road with beaches and waterfalls to check out, minimal dinning and shopping but country lifestyle, need to drive but some lovely walking areas once you reach them by car. wildlife around and nice to see. unable to control the weather but the rain made the waterfalls look AMAZING

Loved everything about this property.
Loved everything about this property. Great atmosphere the gardens and the view were beautiful. The house interior was so clean and relaxing plus everything was supplied. The fireplace just set the mood perfectly. Only 1 bathroom, but didn’t matter as everything else was excellent. Highly recommended and already planning our next visit.
