Have stayed at this motel a few times on the drive along the coast. It is in a quiet location a short distance south of town and a short drive to the highway making it a great choice for an overnight stop.

Beautiful town with Saturday market on the first Saturday day of every month next to the Riverside Park. I was there while the market was still on with beautiful people, fun and friendly singer, supportive audiences. And of course, don't skip on the local products which you should go around and you might find something you like inside the market with about 20 stalls.
I was lucky enough to catch up on the historical car show just right next to the market and the river.
If you drive from Sydney towards Brisbane or reverse, Must be check out this peaceful local town.

I liked the sports fields where I could do my morning run :). I didn't like the Magpie that kept swooping me as I ran up and down the field :(
The RSL serves great food - we had the roast of the day - fantastic

It's a very pretty town with some nice cafes and restaurants.
The Riverside walk is great with many information boards that detail the history of the area.
The kids park by the river in town is really good. Parking is easy, and there are clean public toilets next to the park.
Lou's cafe is a highlight! We had breakfast, but will also have dinner there next time.

Slim Dusty Center well displayed of Slim Dusty memorabilia.
Slim Dusty Center well displayed of Slim Dusty memorabilia. The Center is very clean and coffee in the coffee shop is excellent to my taste. The Crescent head lookout is stunning and the surf beach is amazing.

We found everyone very friendly.
We found everyone very friendly. Lots of really lovely little shops as well as four supermarkets. We went out to a different local café each day, and were never disappointed. Beautiful Hat Head beach is only 30 minutes' drive away:)

Tall timbers caravan park is a little tired but clean and the staff were friendly and suited our overnight stopover. Kempsey is a lovely town with great amenities. We ate at the RSL club overlooking the river the food and service were excellent.
The only reasons I chose this motel on the way from Brisbane to Sydney is that it was about half way and it accepted dogs. It is an older style, rather run down motel but it would cost a lot to bring it up to first class and there is a lot of competition in Kempsey.
It was clean and the bed linen was fine, which is all you really want in a motel. They charged extra for having my small, cavalier in the room but many people, I’m sure do not take good care of their pets or the room.
Clean, tidy , conviennent location, only a few minutes drive to main Street , reasonably priced , able to get meals at the hotel when relatives joined us (thé crispy skinned barra with veg was very nice) ; had a modern renovated feel about it ; great comfy beds; was quiet overnight ; easy walking to local IGA and other shops; and able to borrow an iron ; shared bathroom and kitchenette worked well ; was able to park out the back ; Manager was accommodating ;
I arrived at Fairway Lodge very late and reception is open till 9pm. Their check-in is very easy and quick. Staff is helpful.
We only stay 1 night and left before 8:30. Not much can see and feel. I only have a look before leaving. Their environment is nice and feel like a holiday park. It's quiet at night and I have a good sleep.
Although it wasn’t the hotel’s fault, the bathroom floor was wet after someone had showered and, as an older person I felt it was a safety hazard. Also, since people of all ages are using the shower and toilet, the installation of grab rails built to Australian standards, would be a thoughtful addition.
Great location on the outskirts of Kempsey, quiet, comfortable room, wifi that works, a microwave oven so you can heat up something if you don't feel like going to town, a carport for the car, kangaroos in the field behind the motel, reasonably priced, friendly staff. Lot's to like.
Good, budget option for travelling up the NSW mid-coast. Older motel but very well maintained and very clean & quiet. We arrived late and Daniel gave us crystal clear instructions on check-in and how to get to our room in the dark.
We think the location and the inclusions in the room are excellent for a regular overnight stay. The refrigerator/freezer is big by comparison with those in other motels in Kempsey we have stayed at prior to finding this one.
It was a lovely place to stay. There were 4 of us and it was very comfortable. Owners were helpful and friendly. Would recommend it.
So much better than an hotel. Really loved it. Great job guys!!!😀😀
I liked the quiet location and friendly people that I met at the park. I liked it's proximity to Kempsey and crescent heads. I also loved the towels, linens and blankets that were provided.
Most comfortable bed I have slept including 5 star hotels and crisp clean linen. Working air-conditioning. So I slept really well and that is worth a lot on it's own.
