Lovely resort with stunning sea views. Close to restaurants and cafes. The staff were extremely helpful, even going so far as to help find us a sunset cruise. Will definitely stay again.

Gorgeous, quiet, oversized retirement town. Plenty of beaches to visit, heaps of shops for tourist shopping, multitude of restaurants and take-away places. Has the necessities for shopping, cinemas, hotels, petrol stations, etc. This place forces you to slow down and smell the salt air!

A lovely flat place, where you can walk or bike ride till your heart is content. We are in our 70's and we bike ride all around doing up to 20k's in a day. Stopping for breakfast or lunch or just at the beach. It has great shopping centres with every shop you need. So many places to eat, all sorts. We enjoy the RSL for an evenings entertainment and a good meal. We use our bikes or car. I cant comment on the public transport. There is always buses on the road though.

A perfect, unspoiled beach location.
A perfect, unspoiled beach location. The beach is safe and perfect for swimming, with sandbars and fishing. There’s a lovely old pier for strolling on.
Nice cafes that are affordable. The people are friendly and relaxed. Great fish and chip shops dotted about, excellent fresh fish.
The Bayswater Bar near the Pier has happy hour cocktails 3-5pm and really good $10 pizzas weekdays 2-4.30pm. It’s the best place to spend an afternoon overlooking the water.
The waterfront has an endless promenade, with picnic facilities dotted along it. Great off leash areas for dogs. Don’t forget to greet the locals as you pass by.

The whole Great Sandy Strait is utterly superb.
The whole Great Sandy Strait is utterly superb. Great restaurants everywhere along the Esplanade. Need to plant lunch well, as disappoint most cafes close by 1.3opm to 2pm...so hard to get a late lunch.

Nice for a short holiday.
Nice for a short holiday. Whale watching is excellent and so is a trip to K'gari. A stroll along the long pier is worth the effort. Beautiful views. The weather is lovely in Autumn but a bit humid in Summer. It is easy to drive around Hervey Bay even when there are a lot of tourist. There are a lot of choices when looking for a place to eat.

We stayed in Hervey Bay for two weeks this time for the first time. Unfortunately we could only get a week in each of two places. We have made the trip to Hervey Bay many times and stayed in different types of accommodations from Motels, a house and now resorts. Have driven from one end to the other many times and I love it all. I Have loved staying at the Mantra the best as it has a lot of conveniences in walking distance and the shopping center is not far, by car, if you want to dine in your unit. We did drive to the other end to the RSL for the special deal meal nights. The staff have been wonderful in all places we have visited.
The rented villa/unit was beautiful and so spacious. Additional living space upstairs. 2 massive bathrooms upstairs and extra toilet downstairs. Secured car park for 1 vehicle. Very clean and modern. Private yard space out the back. Very well priced, beyond value for money. Reception staff very kind, gave some brochures and recommendations for activities and restaurants. Overall an extremely positive stay and would 100% stay again if visiting Hervey Bay in the future, and will recommend to friends and family.
The Ramada is in a great location close to the marina and ferry. The hotel is also in easy walking distance from the Boat Club and other dining options. There's convenient secure parking underneath. Although facing the road, our room was quiet. Staff were friendly and obliging. Overall, we felt the Ramada Hervey Bay provided good value.
Mantra Hervey Bay is a great place to stay if you are doing a whale watch trip. It’s right there at the Marina. Very comfortable rooms with great views of the Marina. Also good restaurants within walking distance.
