Absolutely loved this property, it exceeded our expectations in all ways, it was so clean and neat with a variety of beautiful outdoor seating and eating areas and wonderful gardens and planted areas. The beautiful character house is spacious and wonderfully furnished with quality linen and appliances, really comfortable beds and living and eating areas, great cooking facilities and BBQ. Louise is a wonderful host and very helpful and prompt in response to queries. The property is a quick drive from Hawker and surrounded by farmland with beautiful views of the Flinders Ranges, Louise was so helpful and prompt in respond to any questions, highly recommended holiday destination.

Jeff Morgan's panorama gallery is a must see. Hawker Hotel meals are good value. A modern cafe in town does breakfasts and lunches. It's easy to get around this small outback town which has a grid pattern street plan and almost no actual traffic.

daytime outings.
The drive from Hawker to Wilpena Pound and Blinman and return is enjoyable, the scenery is superb.
The pub has a good atmosphere and the food is good quality.
Food service was slow when they were unexpectedly inundated with customers.

Hawker is about 40 minutes to Wilpena Pound and is a good place since phones and internet works, (Wilpena Pound has little or no phone reception). Jeff Morgan's gallery is a must visit. 2 nights should be sufficient to explore the area.
