Good to be close to the sea. Room adequate but no drawer space. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Motel was right on the Princes Hwy, so traffic noise was evident at night.
A lot of trucks entered and left the nearby Refinery, close to the back entrance to the motel. This is not the ideal location for a motel, set amongst a number of industrial sites.

We went with friends for a concert we stayed at “ The Gateway hotel.
Corio generally has a rough reputation but we never encountered any problems. The Staff at the Gateway Hotel couldn’t have done enough for us for our stay and do yourself a favour and go and have a big hangover breakfast at “ The Roadhouse” cafe good old real breakfast with out the bells and whistles and the stupid price tag!!!!
The staff there are fantastic also. The are located heading back to Melbourne on the opposite side of the road just down from the Gateway hotel

Hotel is close to Avalon airport which was our main priority given our flight was at 9am and we needed to be at the airport earlier due to having to find parking etc. Room was comfortable but had a back glass door and was in the carpark of a hotel which was a bit unnerving. Having said that we had a good dinner at the hotel and slept well. Air con was old tired and noisy with no instructions on how to use it. Room was freezing on arrival. Hotel advertised breakfast included which was a package of syrupy fruit, sugary juice and cereal with long life milk to be eaten out of the cereal packet. Rather have a cheaper room and buy breaky at the airport.
Unfortunately due some miscommunication with our booking that was done online via bookings.com we were given the wrong information in regards to rooms and how many of us were coming, although I did ring several times to confirm our numbers and the number of rooms. We were still grateful as the staff did try to accommodate us in the end. They were polite and patient with our big group. We truly appreciate it. Accommodation was great. Food was fantastic. The family loved it. Thank you
It was new and spacious for a family of 4, we were given two rooms and 4 beds with a very reasonable price. And Wi-fi speed is fast and the room looked new ( we were told the hotel was just renovated during Covid). And we had a la carte dinner there and the food is good and in big portion. And a very nice feature is that they provide barcode for us to order food from our room.
Position was perfect for us beds were clean and very comfortable the hotel and dining were great food was well priced went to the all you can eat on the Saturday night good selection of foods could not fault it clean towels and room cleaned every day will definitely stay again
price was reasonable, as was the location. Loved being able to walk down to the Gateway Hotel for their all you can eat dinner. However the walk back is uphill so be prepared! Shower was hot, plenty of tea/coffee (not enough milk)
The staff were all friendly and looked after us really well Travelled from Melbourne and was arriving late and called the hotel for dinner arrangements and that was promised and delivered as a special exemption .
The bed was so comfy and a part of the hotel had a restaurant which was great we didn't have to leave the premises. There was also a bar and gaming room.🌟🌟🙂
Pet-friendly, clean, location and complete kitchenware. The front yard is spacious where my dog can play and only 700 metres away from Corio shopping centre.
