Is warm house, host given me a lot woods/ pine corn for burning. Bedsheet is clean and comfortable for sleeping. Natural Environment . I will come back next time. The spacious chalet is located on the ground floor and is fitted with 2 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with an oven, a microwave, a washing machine, a toaster and a fridge. Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from an outdoor dining area or keep themselves warm by the fireplace on colder days. The chalet offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. Absolutely lovely location and a gorgeous little chalet. I fell in love with the comfort of the rocking chair spent a lot of time in it while reading in front of the fire. That was in-between trips out to the spa. If was quite cold while we were there but the chalet was lovely and warm with the fire going. We enjoyed watching the movement of the cattle out the dining room window and were happy with the privacy the hedge provided from all the traffic of people arriving over the weekend to go on the walk.

Christchurch Railway Station is 23 km from Silverstream Lodge, while Christchurch Art Gallery is 25 km away. The nearest airport is Christchurch International, 23 km from the lodge, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Grant and Kathy were wonderful and gracious hosts. They made us feel so welcome. The Lodge is spacious and beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was such a treat, and the garden surrounding the lodge is stunning.
Springfield
Located in Springfield in the Canterbury region, Sunrise Mountain View Cabin Retreat features a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 39 km from Porters, and guests benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. Location was a little out the way for what I was there for. We didn’t have breakfast.

Gary sent lots of instructions on how to get there, what to expect and was great at communicating. The cabin got lovely and warm once the fire was on, bed was comfy and shower was hot!
The motel is located just outside the main strip of shops so it's very quiet. We had a log burner in the cabin which was lovely and made the room very cosy indeed.
Beautifully quiet, blissfully basic hut exactly as described. Warm comfy bed, all kitchen items, clean basic hot shower and toilet just outside. Fab little log burner with logs supplied warmed the cabin beautifully. Stunningly clear night skys, well worth popping outside to look at the stars of its clear! Even the train going past was nowhere near so noisy as I had expected. Perfect minimalist escape.
Beautiful location looking at Mt Hutt
Super cabin! So big and was very clean. Bed was very comfy. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. There is a selection of rental dvds, books and games which was welcome.

Very comfortable little cabin, very spacious. Kitchen very handy. Appreciated the lending library of DVDs in the office, we got to catch up on a Taika Waiti movie we’d been meaning to see for a long time. We wish we had booked more than one night.
Really well located, cute hut. Had helpful amenities which we weren’t expecting! Hosts were lovely and helpful!
Large and well-kept section around the hut. Great space for the dog to run around, well fenced. Also very private and tranquil space bar the occasional train. Hut itself is undersold, lovely warm functional space. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Our apartment was a cute miniature cabin... fireplace, great kitchen, comfortable living area and two separate bedrooms. All with the perfect cabin in the mountains rustic feel to it. Really enjoyed our stay here and the short walk into Arthur's Pass.
