The old Cottage was just what we like, very well equipped with everything you could need and very clean. There were also lovely fresh supplies, Bread, Eggs, Bacon fruit etc. left for us. Location was peaceful and in lovely surrounding areas. We only booked for two nights as we had just gone down for our Granddaughters Wedding which took place in a lovely village a short distance away, but we would have liked more time to explore the area.

We asked for a quiet room and were given a lovely one at the back of the hotel.
Great Greene King Inn and very friendly helpful staff. Super breakfast and lovely location in pretty village.
It is a fantastic location. We left the car on the car park the whole weekend and walked everywhere in the village. The pub is lovely with good drink and food selection. The room was clean and comfy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The building is so quirky and I loved that it’s a proper inn.
Staff really friendly and helpful. Rm 5 (twin) was spacious and comfortable with a good shower and nice to have a bath as well.. Very good choice of both hot and cold food at breakfast. Good location in a lovely village. This is an extremely old building so the floors are wonky and squeaky but this wasn't a problem, only added to its charm.
Rooms were bigger than average for a pub. Apart from the marmalade (which was decidedly average), breakfast was excellent. Location is very nice - Long Melford is a really attractive village.
