We liked being able to go through the garden area and cross the street to visit Kilkenny Castle. Butler House was richly appointed and is of historical value. The staff was very accommodating, and the location could not be beat. We would not hesitate to come back for a visit.

It had a convenient writing desk, place to hang my clothes, and very comfortable bed. The heat in the room was perfect. The warm drying racks in the bathroom kept the towels dry and warm. The room was on the main level, so I could easily access it with my suitcases.

Michael and Paula were very friendly and went over and beyond to look after me. I stayed an extra night due to ferry cancellations which gave me an extra day in the area. They reassured me and provided breakfast which I was not expecting, as I should have been leaving very early. The room was very clean and very comfortable. I liked having tea and coffee making facilities. Thank you.
