Really comfy bed and room temperature and the food portion, taste and flavour was excellent. They even had Worcestershire sauce and the bar of chocolate in the room was a nice touch and very much appreciated.

The Wheatsheaf Hotel is set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restaurant serves dishes made using local recipes and produce, and the bar serves real ales.

This is our 12th(!) stay at the Wheatsheaf - we absolutely love it. A great location in a beautiful little village, and a good base for exploring further afield - plus lots of scenic walks. The rooms at the Inn are clean and very comfortable, the breakfasts are excellent and will set you up for the day, and I would recommend trying the meals as they are just so tasty! The steak pie is a favourite, and the fish and chips are just delicious - but do book as it can get very busy.
We've stayed at many hotels and Inns in the UK - some hugely expensive ones too, but for us, the Wheatsheaf is up there among the very best, which is why we keep returning!

The location was beautiful and scenic. The trails for walking were easy to find and great for a wander. The room was large and breakfast was good.

Convenient location, good parking, local shops and pubs, nice owner, friendly guests, great breakfast, comfortable establishment
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Great location in a private road and a well furnished house. Ideal for our small group who were walking in the Yorkshire Dales. Furnishings all seemed brand new, beds and sofas very comfortable.
Fantastic breakfast! Lovely décor and a charming house - built in 1668! Comfy beds and nice, warm room.
Nice and quiet, but good location. Free parking outside and across the street. I imagine it will be buzzing later in the season when the restaurant is open.
Great location right in the middle of town.
Amiable welcome, albeit somewhat cursory introduction to our accommodation.
Stayed in small, private 2 bedroom house - spacious and peaceful with large lounge.
Reasonable kitchen amenities though couldn't find a chopping board or tea towel.
The friendliest and most accommodating owners, excellent breakfast, lovely room which was perfectly clean, great location just a minutes walk from everything you need.
This is our new favourite place to stay in the Dales, we’ll be back and we can’t wait, thank you!
