Whitby Abbey is 700 metres away and Scarborough Open Air Theatre is 30 km from the inn. The room was bright and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, when we asked about dining out or finding a laundromat. The full English breakfast was piping hot and delicious . There was also cereal and fruit on the side and lots of hot coffee, tea or cold beverages. We sat in the breakfast room and watched the boats go by. we also enjoyed the pub right downstairs for food and drinks.

The Station Inn Whitby offers some units with city views, and every room includes a coffee machine. I stayed in the third floor king room for one luxurious night while doing 13 days on the Coast to Coast Walk. Cozy with wonderful views of Whitby. The bathroom with giant tub and underfloor heating is amazing.

The traditional comfortable rooms , the excellent food , from the great choice and quality of the evening meal to the belly buster lovely full English for breakfast, and i have never stayed at hotel with a more friendly , helpful staff , everyone of them , it was a pleasure for me and my wife to stay there

In the morning, a hearty full English breakfast is served. Many restaurants and bars can be found a 15-minute walk from the guest house. The host Danielle was SO kind, and the breakfast was amazing. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and clean. Would stay here everytime I visited York.

Lynne and her staff are so friendly and welcoming. They offer so many personal and thoughtful touches, Ashridge House really does feel like a home from home. The breakfasts are simply amazing.....a huge choice, perfectly cooked and presented, honestly didn't need to eat again until dinner time. The location of the property in the heart of the village is perfect and the private parking area is a huge bonus. The seating area in the glorious garden is a lovely spot to relax and unwind.

Whilst enjoying a quiet position, the privately owned property looks onto the city walls and is just 5 minutes' stroll from the Shambles. York Railway Station can be reached within a 10-minute walk. The place is superb. Our room was spacious with a large double bed I think was king size, bathroom was spotless and everything very well curated.
