Very nice couple managing the hotel, with a lot to do in and around the hotel, and marvelous lake.
Large room, with bathroom, and other shared Japanese baths (could not really use them, as arrived at 7 PM, and on busy week end, so we all occupied).
The owner could pick us up at the local bus station, drive us back, and even drove us to nearby restaurant! So helpful.
Have a few bicycles for cycling around the lake.

Mizno was a perfect hotel to stay in Kawaguchiko. Start from the lobby you can see lake kawaguchi and mount fuji, the view from our room also amazing. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Food are amazing. You also can enjoy rooftop bar, open air bath, and onsen at Mizno. Definitely would come back!!
It was a large room, traditional japanese style and amazing views. The hotel is right on the lake kawaguchiko, friendly staff and great facilities. We have really enjoyed staying here.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Very close to Lake Kawaguchi and not too far from the train station either. Free shuttle bus service from the station to the hotel is convenient too. The breakfast was great with a choice between Western bread style or Japanese rice style. I stayed for multiple nights so I tried both.

We stayed 1 night in Hotel Asafuji in October. Staff was very friendly, the food (dinner and breakfast) was beautiful and tasted great. Loved the serene views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji right out of your room window. Onsen was nice and relaxing. Tatami rooms were clean, was not super comfortable for sleep, but that was what we expected as we are not used to it. Appreciated the free pickup and drop off at Kawaguchiko station. Overall, 10/10, a great overnight experience and would stay here again if we revisited Mt. Fuji. :)
They had an English speaking staff member during the day so that was nice. The views of Lake Kawaguchiko were phenomenal! The rooms were very spacious and bathrooms seemed updated in the room. We didn't pay for dinner, but the breakfast was delicious! Definitely seemed worth paying the price listed for a one night stay.
This place is so convenient to the ropeway and the shuttle van will pick you up and take you back to Kawaguchiko station, which was very nice. I used my wifi calling to call the hotel from the station to pick us up.
First, the location is just perfect! You can see Mt. Fuji from the bedroom windows in the morning, and if you want an even better view, Lake Kawaguchi is just a 2-minute walk away. There is also a Family Mart and a bus stop for the sightseeing Omnibus within walking distance. Second, the cottage is clean, comfortable, and way more spacious than a typical hotel room. Last but not least, the host is very kind and made us feel at home during our stay. Would definitely stay here again!
The Crescendo is a small, family-operated spa hotel located on a hill overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, a short walk from the lakeside. We had a splendid view of Mt. Fuji from the bedrooms and from the private Jacuzzi room. The owner is friendly and speaks some English - it is accessible to foreign visitors. The room was large, comfortable and impeccably clean. The location is 10-15 minutes by taxi from Kawaguchiko station. The hotel has a music room with a piano, guitars etc. for guest use.
The room is spacious. I haven't seen the room in this size during my travel in Japan. We got garden view room and the view is amazing. It is actually a lake and mountain and garden view! The morning buffet is great with many options. The 8 courses fuji traditional meal for dinner is really delicious too! Hotel offers free shuttle bus to Lake Kawaguchi, where you can find all highway express bus to take you to any place.
I had a lovely time at this hostel! The staffs were all so good and helpful and they speak English well. I had the Japanese room and it was quiet and the futons were really comfortable. They had a heater in the room so I wouldnt feel cold. It was just about 5 mins walk away from Oogi bus stop which is very convenient to take the bus. Lake Kawaguchiko is also right opposite the Oogi bus stop, it was lovely to walk. I am also very happy the hostel provides bicycles for rent because I cycled around the lake and it was really fun!
