It was very nice, clean and comfortable. The onsen was little but amazing and there were no people when I used it. It's 3 minutes from the most amazing restaurant I tried in Japan (Gin) and also has a restaurant inside, but it was full when i went.
It's quite close to the train stop (little than 10 minutes)

We stayed for 3 nights - perfect for walking to sights like the pagoda, and a full day at Fuji Q. It meant we could choose our day according to the weather when most rides were open. There was a good variety of restaurants in the area, we had an especially good meal in ‘Aio’. Even in low cloud and rain it was interesting to wander round and fall into cafes and we had the pleasure of suddenly seeing the majesty of Mt Fuji when the clouds cleared. Fujiyoshida was a relaxing change to the tourist bustle of Kyoto and Nara which we’d just been to.

I stayed near the Shimoyoshida Station at Asumi Onsen.
I stayed near the Shimoyoshida Station at Asumi Onsen. I am very glad that I did not stay in Kawaguchiko, which is swamped by huge numbers of tourists from all over the world, causing long lines in every store anywhere near the train station. I got Mt. Fuji views from everywhere but my stay was relaxed and amongst the local Japanese, except at the Chureito Pagoda. Mountains and hiking paths were nearby. On my last day, I went to Kawaguchiko Station to pick up a bus back to Tokyo. One look at the long lines and tourists clogging the streets made me certain that I made the right choice to stay away from all that.

Fujiyoshida is a tourist area.
Fujiyoshida is a tourist area. Within half an hour drive around are ropeways, scenic areas, hikes temples and various other activities like quad bike riding, zip line, safari, rides, outlet shopping, etc. You need to be there to know what is there. For example, Mishima Sky Bridge is not just a scenic area but filled with lots of fun activities. A good time to go is to be able to catch the sunset on the bridge against Mount Fuji. Magical.

Fujiyoshida has some great viewing points for Fuji San, the town itself is quiet but has some lovely places to eat. Even though it is so close to the biggest tourist attraction in Japan it doesn’t feel busy with tourists.

The town was very quiet when we arrived on Sunday morning, which was a most welcome change after being in Tokyo for a few days. It is easy to travel between the town and Fuji Q Highland with the train. The shops in the town are quaint and we enjoyed our time there very much. Everyone we encountered was very welcoming and friendly and helpful.

I came to climb MT. Fuji. And climb it I did.
I came to climb MT. Fuji. And climb it I did. But when you spend all your effort to get there, why not stay for a few days. It gives you a better feeling for the area, and gives you better opportunity if there is bad weather to make the climb. I think you will love being there. I will aways remember my stay!
Highly recommended it. Unexpected event they provide full your time at hotel. Welcome tea good experience, Hot spring must try at the 10/F. Facing big Fuji view mountains amazing. Nice view. Also have a taiko drum show after dinner, They have provide a free lounge drink snack time at night time. Wine free-flow. Japan simply clothes wear provide for take photo. Nice Ambience. They have own garden can spend a time for walking and relax. Hotel so big. Really can spend your time in whole day.
We stayed for one night at Hotel MyStays with our main aim being to view Mount Fuji. The hotel met our expectations with a room with a view. We were fortunate to enjoy both evening and morning views of Mount Fuji which isn't always possible.
The room was compact but ideal for a solo traveller. The room was of good standard. Buffet breakfast was included. A nearby train station was handy for travel to Lake Kawaguchico and Tokyo.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The villa was clean and had wonderful views of Mt Fuji. The breakfast was made with fresh ingredients and was delicious. The location is convenient as it is near the train station. It was quiet at night, allowing us to have a good rest. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Fujiyoshida. Awesome team and amazing work, TOKI!
The hotel is nice, the location has the view of Mt. Fuji, amazing views from the room. The room itself was huge and there is an onsen inside the hotel, which was great for relaxing after a day sightseeing. I didn’t try the food at the hotel, but they offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. I liked that the hotel was near a park, so had that nature vibe.
The hotel is in a wonderful location and you can see Mount Fuji so clearly from the roof, it really was stunning. It is near the station and is also near many convenience stores and supermarkets. There is a cafe/bar you can eat in. The beds were comfy and the room was very basic but very nice. It's really great value for the location and room.
The hotel was located near restaurants. We took the highway bus from Tokyo so we didn’t have a car. It was within a 20 minute walk to the Fujisan parking lot which allowed us to catch the bus to Mt. Fuji. The staff were very helpful. They even used a personal car to help us out when we couldn’t get a taxi.
This property is located in the quiet neighborhood. You can see Mt Fuji on every street and corner. It is nice to walk around the area. It is only 15 min walk to the famous Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine. The owner is also very nice and friendly. I enjoyed the time staying at this hotel.
Traditional Japanese hostel. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - they helped to book a bus to Tokyo and even cut the end off our walking sticks from mount Fuji so it would fit in our bags. The hostel was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here!
Hana, a wonderful and endearing person, at your service. We loved our stay! She is without a doubt the best host we met during our trip to Japan. If you go to Fujiyoshida you absolutely must stay there!
A big thank you for everything Hana
Maxime and Carolane :)
The hostel has a stylish and minimalist design, very mindful of details. We loved that they provide free coffee, tea, and snacks in the common spaces. The location is also perfect, on the main street of Fujiyoshida and very close to the popular Mt Fuji photo spot.
We absolutely loved our stay! The host was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The space is gorgeous, with an amazing view of Fujisan. I would 10/10 recommend this property to anyone staying in the area. Photos posted are views from the balcony.
Hotel is very close to the train and bus station. The room was clean and very spacious. Staff was very helpful. They even provide pajamas! The common area is nicely designed and there is a common kitchen to use.
Highly recommended! One of most memorable stays in my life. Great location, very nice and hospitable hostess. I am sure, my mother and I will remember our stay in this hotel forever. Thank you, Hana!
Great place if you are looking to stay at a traditional Japanese hotel. The owners were very kind and forthcoming, there was a private onsen and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend.
Near the Fujisan station and malls. Room is clean and comfortable. On the terrace, we can see the Fuji mountain.
I reserved the room with the Fuji mountain view. It's so worth it.
Amazing location and property. The person that welcomed us was very helpful and very nice, this guest house greatly contributed to an amazing stay in Fujiyoshida.
