The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. It offers a park with a pool, free WiFi and a limited number of free parking spaces.
Australia
The hotel section was better than expected! It was super close to Lugano train station and a short journey down to the main part of town. The room was great with views of the lake and double glazed windows that worked super well. The reception staff were really helpful and polite. There was a fridge and desk in the room. The common areas were beautiful with chairs outside in the garden too. There is a restaraunt and bar on site.
Carona (Near Lugano)
The Casa Calina is a newly renovated guest house with a large garden in a quiet location in Carona, with beautiful views over Lake Lugano. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Each room at Casa Calina has its own terrace offering superb views of the mountains of Ticino, Lake Lugano and the surrounding area. 3 rooms share a common bathroom. A kitchen and dining room for the guest's use are available as well.
