Amazing staff that was so warm and helpful. From the complementary pick up service from the Kawaguchiko Train Station (ask the tourist information for help to call up to arrange) to the reception and the buffet staff, everybody is just so welcoming. The room with private onsen is a gem, the Mt Fuji view from the room is just awesome. Location is splendid as it is walking distance to the ropeway and Lawson convenience store. Ample parking space available too!

The location is amazing, and the staff is great. I highly recommend getting the meals at the restaurant - they're good value, in my opinion, and you'll get more traditional Japanese food and meals. I really enjoyed how this felt like a family-owned bed and breakfast, and more of a getaway that pre-modern (i.e. internet) Japanese vacationers would have enjoyed.

We rented a car and drove from Tokyo to Yamanashi and for us it was perfect. We were able to see all 5 lakes in one day going from one to the other in succession.
The restaurants in the area offer a great variety of sushi, izakaya and bbq. There is also a great Omakase restaurant nearby the hotel called Fresh Water that offers a different experience to the usual tried and tested.
On the day of our departure back to Tokyo we decided to swing by Fuji Q Highland with low expectations - the theme park is legit with a great Naruto Village, high octane rollercoaster rides and from our own experience a great haunted house that lasts the majority of an hour to walk through.
Loved it. Would definitely revist the entire area.

Check the weather forecast before planning your trip to Kawaguchiko, as beside the view of Mt Fuji there's very little to do there, also restaurants are very rare and working hours is almost not existent, everything closes early or not open at all... so be mindful of the meals you should carry with you.

The view of the lake is absolutely stunning, but it's quite disappointed that we didn't catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji. It's always a good idea for travelers to check the weather beforehand.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My boyfriend worked at 5-star hotels in the past and even he said the service at this hotel was impeccable. We were very lucky to see Mt Fuji from our room and the private onsen. We also loved the traditional Japanese room, the dinner and breakfast selection and being able to wear the yukata provided by the ryokan. Definitely the most authentic Japanese experience of our trip. We wish we had stayed longer than just one night. We will be back at this ryokan every time we visit Japan from now on.
Really beautiful location as the photos show. This is a traditional Japanese inn (ryokan), which means traditional-style rooms with sliding doors, tatami mats, and futon bedding; a (nude) bathhouse within the hotel facilities; and in our case, a full traditional dinner and breakfast. This is the iconic ryokan experience! I would certainly recommend Ururun Kawaguchiko to anyone else travelling to Japan, and if you can't make it here I would strongly recommend trying to find and stay in a ryokan somewhere else for at least one night.
The hotel is really pretty, really traditional. We booked the room with Fuji san view and it did not disappoint. Also, our room had a private onsen, which was awesome for us as we have tattoos. The dinner was pretty fun too, it had many many options, although it was not traditional omakase dinner. Location is good too, walking distance from Kawaguchiko Station, but they also have shuttles to and from the station so awesome. Staff was all pretty friendly as well.
This hotel is at the top of my list. It has a wonderful staff, location and facilities. You walk out to an amazing view of the lake and nearby shops. The shuttle service is nice and friendly. The front desk are amazing and very helpful. The hit public bath at the top floor is a treat with breath taking views and experience. Highly recommended the Japanese dinner and breakfast experience is a must. Love it.
Hotel is just right in front of Lake Kawaguchi, Lawson mart is next to hotel and room very beautiful facing Lake Kawaguchi. Free parking available. Few restaurants nearby by walking distance. Large public Onsen facing Mont Fuji. Rooftop provide foot spa and good view to take Mont Fuji photo. Breakfast was fantastic, with assortment Japanese Style selection. Highly recommend for stay.
Great Japanese experience, sleeping on the Tatami and drinking tea while wearing traditional clothes for free!!! I didn't expect that.
Showers and toilets are shared but not to bad...
BTW The hotel is just next to a graveyard 🪦 so if you're afraid of that specially when coming back at nigh, you may skip this place...
Be ready to take off your shoes and use sandals inside de place.
Location right by the Yagizaki Parc, on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, but most important with an absolutely stunning view on the Mount Fuji.
Hotel is designed like a Ryokan: rooms with Tatami mats, comfortable futons as beds, shared bathrooms with small Onsen, optional breakfast (changes by day between Japanese and western style).
Very nice cozy hotel with a stunning view in the japanese style room. Everyone was really friendly in the hotel and they had no problems with speaking english. There are also 2 onsen, one for women, one for men. Everything was very clean. We loved staying in the hotel. Thank you very much for this experience.
The hotel is beautifully situated near a lake. From one side you see the woods and the lake and from the other Mt. Fuji. The rooms are Japanese style. The staff will convert the space into night space in the evening. The onsen is located outside which gives an extra point!
Private rooms at a reasonable price, quiet location and great views of Mount Fuji. The nearest convinience store is about 15 minutes away, so I'd recommend timing your sightseeing with your grocery shopping before you go back to the hotel.
The lake view is good. The room is clean. Staffs service is excellent. Japanease Dinner and breakfast is good. Small bus service to Kawaguchiko station. Hotel have parking for cars, and lacates near local bus stop.
Lovely hotel with great view of Mount Fuji. They have a shuttlebus from and to the station Kawaguchiko. Diner was pricey but go for the Japanese meal it is worth it! Other meals we ate elsewhere at the station.
Nice hotel with a stunning view of Mount Fuji from the Hollywood room. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. You can leave your luggage at the reception before checking in. The staff is helpful.
Fuji View, polite English speaking staff, cleanliness, public bath, nice breakfast buffet, nice Japanese restaurant in front of the hotel, near supermarkets, spacious car park n clean towels.
Sparkling clean and spacious room compared to the traditional room type in Japan. We drove a car to visit Kawaguchiko spots, it’s not far from the hotel.
