This hotel is quite okay if don’t have much options. For example me and my husband booked this during Golden week. We liked bathroom and the bed cause it was quite comfortable. Rooms design was kinda cute. Fuji view was beautiful.

I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen.
I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen. The fare is ¥5900 one way and travel time is nearly an hour. I stayed at Toyoko Inn which is 150 meters from the Shin Fuji station. There are lots of car rentals in the area but I was not able to get one as they only accept advance booking from their website. It took me 2 hours getting to and from the foot of Mt. Fuji, by bus and a 15 minute walk in the village to reach my destinations. Roads are quite narrow but they are common in Japan. Like most countryside places in Japan, Fuji is relatively clean, rich in nature, and lots of places to explore. My advice if you want to visit Fuji: 1. Travel by Shinkansen going to and from Fuji. 2. Rent a car so you can visit most of the attractions in and around Mt. Fuji. 3. Spend at leat 3-4 days in the area. 4. Bring cash with you always as most establishments are cash based. 5. Download Papago app on your phone so you can translate Japanese images, signs, etc if you're having difficulty understanding the language. That's it and enjoy your trip to Mt. Fuji.

The host was amazing, he has two dogs. 50 years old traditional house is an experience itself. House is comfortably situated between two stations, one of which is Shinkansen stop. 7-eleven is nearby. Authentic experience of Japanese life different from hectic Tokyo, because not touristy.
During check-in, I appreciated the staff's responsiveness, as they promptly answered the intercom to facilitate a smooth and efficient process.
The twin room's window and the rooftop provided an impressive view of Mt. Fuji, particularly on clear days. Moreover, the kitchen was well-equipped with a variety of appliances, including a kettle, stovetop, microwave, and more, enhancing the overall convenience and functionality of the space.
The breakfast was good and worth the effort.
WiFi and a variety of USB plugs to cover most electronic devices
If it is a clear morning, get out to the bridge over the JR station (two-minute walk) Check out Fuji on the horizon.
Good location, plenty of places to eat nearby, a large grocery store a 5-minute walk and a 7-11 10 minute walk.
Well furnitures with wooden base. Comfortable and spacious to sleep. Friendly owner who comes from RSA and has good understanding about Japanese culture for both good and bad side. It was really fun to talk and discuss how he has insight for Japan and how he enjoys to live here. With 5 mins walk, you can also enjoy tapas and Aussie food bar.
Very helpful staff when they were present at the reception. Everything was very clean, the bedroom was comfortable for the four of us. Good value for money, without them we wouldn't have visited the Fuji area as everything is quite more expensive than this. Not every guest house allows kids, really happy that they allowed us.
-Staff can communicate in basic English
-Free breakfast
-Hotel is located next to Shin-Fuji Station (about 2 minutes walk)
-Very reasonable price
-If you get a room on high floor and the sky is clear, you will highly have a chance to see Mount Fuji from your room
Very nice and Cute traditional Hostel/Hotel.
We wanted a traditional house to stay in and we got the full experience. We would definitely come back!
Private onsen/bath/shover has to be reserved, but it’s not a problem and very nice.
Amazing hotel, close to train station, very good breakfast and a room with a wonderful view of Mt Fuji. Great value for money, very friendly staff. Ask for a room with mountain view, you won't regret.
