the room was very clean and well appointed. check in was a breeze and the young lady who checked us in (donnas daughter) was very polite and pleasant and gave some good recommendations.
Donna was very helpful before and after our stay with our stay. my son left his sleep "stuffy" in the room when we checked out and the cleaning staff found it and held onto it for us. after contacting the hotel, Donna helped get this very important lost item back to us via US mail. thank you so much! we will be back!

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express in Crystal River and it was really nice and very clean! We did two different Tours during our stay. The first was a swim with manatees tour. I booked it with Explorida and they were amazing! On our tour we had Gavin and Gloria, they were truly amazing at what they do. You can tell they can about the animals and want to keep everyone safe.
The second was an air boat tour in Homosassa. Which is about 20 minutes south of Crystal river. The boat ride was beautiful and we got to see dolphins!
Overall the trip was a lot of fun and would Highly recommend!

Beautiful area, with a lot to explore.
Beautiful area, with a lot to explore. My schedule only allowed 1/2 day. I would recommend visiting mid-week, NOT during Spring break. I rented a kayak for 3 hours from Hunter Springs Kayaks (highly recommend them!), with the intention of swimming with manatees. I only saw 1 manatee while swimming, plus a couple more from the kayak, since it was late in the season for seeing manatees. Next time I'll plan on visiting earlier in the season, midweek

Crystal River is an adorable little beach town full of nature loving people, artists, veterans, and retirees. We had a wonderful time there snorkeling with manatees, boating, kayaking, and exploring Heritage Village. Highly recommended for a long weekend trip.

Three sisters spring was very nice saw a lot of manatees and the trails were nice. Parking was limited. Kayak rental was pricey and not worth it. We did see manatees but the bay was crowded the water murky until you got near the springs. Would not recommend kayaking in the bay and channels. There are much better places to kayak . If you love seafood eat at the Crab Plant. Casual dining with great food and a big variety of fresh caught seafood.

Crystal River is the most beautiful little town we have ever...
Crystal River is the most beautiful little town we have ever visited. Everything is manatee-themed, even down to some of the streetlights! There are lots of things to do, especially if you love nature and wildlife. Scalloping, hiking, swimming with manatees, and kayaking just to name a few. There are also lots of great dining options available, especially the seafood! It is a cultural hotspot as well, with lots of murals, galleries, museums, and historical sites to see. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer next time.
We stay here every year. This older hotel has the best views on Crystal River. It’s in the heart of all the places to go. They have a Marina to rent boats or kayaks with reasonable prices. The rooms are always clean and the king beds are very comfortable. It’s pet friendly so we can bring our dog. There is a restaurant next door so we didn’t even leave the hotel. Right now they are in process of building a new hotel but are still booking the other half so no pool till they are done.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I learned we were staying at a renovated "senior citizen's home", but our stay did not disappoint! We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. Everything was exceptionally clean and Tina, one of the staff members, was very accommodating and attentive. It was close to the downtown area and local eateries and shops. We would definitely stay again when visiting Crystal River.
The location was excellent for taking advantage of area’s attractions. The breakfast was decent; there were warm food options, but little in the way of fresh fruit. The facilities seemed to be newer or upgraded. Even though we don’t own a Tesla, there was a charging station at the hotel.
Situation is stunning and the faciities were good that are on offer particularly the sightseeing on the water by kayak, boat, etc. Good live music in the bar area in the evening. For us, especially Thursday evenings. Staff were helpful. The one dinner we had in the resort was good.
It is an older hotel, but clean and well maintained. The staff and owner are friendly, very helpful and engaging with their guests. Having the Denny’s next door is very convenient and the staff are also so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
The pool was great, easily accessible to our room. It was clean enough, we didn't expect a lot for the price and it was fine. Sheets and floor were clean. Great location to visit all the adventures in the Crystal River Area.
This Holiday Inn Express was awesome!! The Staff was super helpful and friendly and the rooms were very clean and roomy. The hotel itself was very clean and it was close to everything! Would definitely stay here again!
An old hotel, but absolut charming. There was problem with the electrcity and in a few minutes we got a new room. Go the the restaurant. Very friendly staff and amazing seafood.
Clean and comfortable room with excellent shower. The breakfast room and lounge with breakfast supplies, water, ice etc were great. The hotel is ideally situated in the town.
Great location! It’s right on the water for plenty of bird watching or activities, and it’s walking distance to Three Sisters Springs. The staff was very friendly.
