Family run little hotel is conveniently located and nice owners do their maximum for you to make you feel at home. It is a bit far (like 2 km to the ski lift) but they always take you to and from the lift or the restaurant or the grocery store free of charge and anytime you want. There is a fully equipped kitchen you can use and the house is spotless clean.

Our room was renovated and clean although a few things such as hangers that had come off could have been put back on. The ski room could also be bigger and include a drying room. The hotel tap water is drinkable and of very good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel served pretty good food but the waiting time was long. The hotel is very suitable for skiers. The ski lift is right next to the hotel. But if you want to have a party in the town centre you have to pay for a taxi ride to the centre and back It costs about 26 Lari. But close to the hotel, about 400-500 m, there is a very good restaurant Ati Ambavi with great food and flavours and live music.

I was travelling on my own with my 2 young children and the staff were so helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. They provided my ski hire and clothing, food was fantastic and it felt like coming home after a day on the mountain. Nothing was too much bother and there was always someone on hand to help. View was amazing, hotel always warm and cosy and rooms simple but comfortable.

Fantastic long, wide runs and, mostly, quality modern lifts. There was lots of snow for late season skiing and plenty of off-piste opportunities. Food and drinks are are reasonably priced and good quality. Local people seem friendly and there is an interesting mix of nationalities on the slopes.

This was our second year of skiing in Gudauri. It is one of the best ski resorts in the Caucasus. Since there are ski lifts on different levels and sides of the mountain it is possible to enjoy skiing in various weather conditions.

NEW Gudauri is the place to be for ski and snowboard adventure. You cannot get any closer then this. Rate of pass and rent versus what you get is more than okay. The pistes are very nice and talented or not talented; you will find your match. There is also possibility to parachute gliding or snowscooter rental. Many bars and restaurants with affordable pricing.

It is a great place for ski/snowboard lovers!
It is a great place for ski/snowboard lovers! the slopes are great, all very well connected to each other with different ski lifts. The slopes are south looking mostly and you have the sun all the time. There are wonderful places to eat and enjoy the lounge situations in the snow on the amazing 2500m altitude slopes.
Slopes reach about 3000 meters, so snow is good.
The hotel is located near main road (the Georgian Military Road), however during our stay trucks traffic was limited due to snow condition, so I can't say much about noise level. Lower ski lift station is about 7 minutes on feet, easy road. Breakfasts were delightful and included local products! Also, something new / different was available every day. We stay for a dinner couple times and generally were happy with overall food quality (however I would not recommend Khinkali, you can find way better ones nearby).
George, the manager, is very helpful, efficient, and at service all the time. The hotel is practically "on the chair lift". It is the BEST ski-in ski-out possible. Gudauri is different from ski resorts in France or Italy, where all the touristic experience is very commercial. In Gudauri, the village is authentic, rural and friendly. The food is usually excellent. The resort is relatively small but high on the mountain so the snow remains fresh most of the day. We had a great 4 day ski vacation.
Okay, so first off it’s the only hotel that I’ve stayed in Georgia that has bidet, and I was so happy. If you’re from UAE then you know what I mean😂😂 Next, they gave me free room upgrade! Idk why but maybe because it’s Christmas? hahaha well, thank you so much I had a great time spending my “me time” outside the balcony because the view was stunning! The foods for dinner and bfast was perfect , there’s lots of choices and 1 night was really not enough. I hoped I stayed there longer.
I love how accommodating Tamer and Amer were. My mom and I were sooooo touched at how Amer made sure we get to Marco Polo hotel for dinner was despite the language barrier! He even waited for us outside the dinner place to make sure we get back to the hostel because it was snowing and really dark and it was late evening and we just arrived and too exhausted from the trip. Thank you so much!

We had an amazing stay at House of the Sun! The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the family that run it are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the best part was the delicious & authentic home cooked Georgian food we got every day for breakfast and dinner. We got to try all sorts of things we never would have known to order at restaurants, and the menu was different every day. Comfortable beds, hot shower, and good wifi. One of my favorite guesthouses I've ever stayed at!
It was truly one of the best bookings of my life. Oksana and Niko were such warm hosts, they provided us with everything we could possibly need, offered us a free ride to and from the ski resort, which was just outstanding. Their home has everything a ski-tourist needs, and a fully equipped kitchen was just a perfect cherry-on-top. Will 100% return to this amazing place and family.
We really enjoyed our stay at Gudauri House of the Sun. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They offered delicious breakfast and dinner. The hotel has arranged a free taxi to take guests to the ski lifts and back, since the hotel is outside of Gudauri. There's some board games in the common area that we really liked. Overall the place was cosy and worth the price.

We recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back. it may not be in the very center, but the food and everything else is unrivaled. 600m to the nearest rental office and ski lift. the ski resort is very well prepared.
The rooms are spacious, clean and big. Very responsive staff: they helped with pharmacies, ordered a taxi, told about the surroundings and always were open and ready to help.

The location has a great view and just 5 minutes walk to ski resort. The hotel staff is accommodating. The manager allowed us to stay for few more hours after check out while waiting for our driver. Their breakfast was amazing!
