Amazing hotel at the heart of Kutaisi. Extremely comfy beds, great decor, excellent showers and amazing staff, always kind and eager to help. Special thanks to Nia, Roma and Luka. The three of them helped us with every question we had, they helped us book a taxi to the airport at 4am and even gave us breakfast to go so we could have something to eat for our early flight. Thank you so much for your kindness you were GREAT!!

To be honest-it' just for hardcore travellers or backpackers yet. It's not an easy destination, they still need to improve in many ways. The people are very kind - but they are poor. There is rubbish everywhere - Sad to see it. But they are working on it, more and more attracions open every year for you to discover. The mountains are beautyful. If you don't expect too much, please support Georgia with your travel and money.

Great place especially the bridge & restaurants by the river .. 160 km away Uplistsikhe Cave Town is a must if travelling between TBILISI & KUTAISI. Food and restaurants are excellent in both. Ambience is great.
The flat is new and very well equipped with spacious lounge. Very secure with courtyard and gate and quiet. Lovely people.
Very good place to chill out in. We were a couple and a Lady friend. Thank you. We were only there 2 days but will return.

The city is nice, but to be honest after time I regret that we did not went first to Batumi or Tibilisi. For me personally, this city is good but for 1 or max. 2 days of sightseeing, after more time I would get bored. The city is very old, sometimes you can feel that it is still not so adapted to the tourism. Nice place for people that are facinated about history and old buildings. Maybe in the summer it has more to offer. We went in March when there was nothing much to do.

To see:
To see:
Prometheus Cave (it is not as touristy as the negative reviews I read, and most of the caves are lit by white light with some colored lights so you see the natural rock colors - it is awesome, the size and formations)
Motsameta Monastery (beautiful, small, on a mountain with a frescoed church and views of more of the Caucasus and river...I heard Gelati is great too but did not see it)
Bagrati's Cathedral and the surrounding ruins, including kvevrebi (clay wine jars in the ground)
Kutaisi Botanical Garden (Bagrati is on the way to this, depending on where you stay), 5 lari admission fee (bring small bills - I found out not everyone has change for 100 lari)...beautiful and with an Orthodox shrine in a tree!
Bukioti (small, colorful cafe with cacao and of course coffee, tea, hot chocolate, as well as achma (a type of khachapuri made with puff pastry) and the best desserts (lava cake, apple dessert which is an air-fried apple filled with nuts and raisins, both topped with vanilla ice cream, and others)
El Paso restaurant - good khinkali
Kolkha Fountain that is in the city center (gold-toned animals with 2 horses on top and a lit in different colors at night)

Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people.
Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people. The food was amazing. We went during the winter so the snow was great and everything was running smoothly. Most of the places to visit are at most 1 hour away. Would recommend to go with the local tour guide rather than driving yourself just because the streets and signals are not clear for a foreigner. Food and ticket entries are very affordable. For a trip for a family of 5 people, we did not waste more than 1000 euros

The journey to Kutaisi is like a journey to the past.
The journey to Kutaisi is like a journey to the past. It is nice to see wild world, wild city like Kutaisi. Everything goes slow (apart from road traffic) and food smells and tastes so good.
Go to Kutaisi and feel it yourself!
A small family hotel.
My room had AC, great bathroom facilities, and everything was extremely clean and tidy.
The host is superb. Picked me up from the airport, Made me fantastic vegan breakfast and keeps pampering with coffee and delicious homemade wine. Really gives you a welcoming feeling (wish it was like it everywhere in Georgia...)
The property also has a roof for guest to enjoy and the family has a Labrador! (Which you can go meet - but he's not in the hotel - if you're worried)
Very recommended overall.
Couldn’t imagine a better booking stay in Kutaisi! It was beyond our expectations - Nino and her family is extremely welcoming and makes you feel as at home. The view from the balcony is amazing and the property is so near the centre. We hadn’t have much time in Kutaisi, so it was incredibly convenient to get a shuttle from and to the airport, be offered delicious local snacks (and wine of course;) and a tour with a lot of stories about Kutaisi’s sightseeing. Definitely will come back!💙
I had a wonderful time in Kutaisi thanks to Mari and her daughter Tuti, who made me feel really welcome, and they offer a truly unique experience by sharing their Georgian history as well as their own family history in a most generous way. They also treated me to all kinds of delightful homemade delicacies, and they really make you feel like a family member. I usually stay at hotels, but I saw this on Bookings and was intrigued and I’m glad I booked this. I’d love to visit again!
The stay here felt like visiting family and not staying in a hotel. The guesthouse is indeed a former private house with large rooms and nice furniture (even a grand piano!), located in a central and yet rather quite street. It is run by Keti, the mother of the family which once lived there. She speaks English, is very attentive and helpful. Every morning she prepared delicious Georgian breakfast for us. She also arranged a private driver for our trip and airport transfer.
It is a brilliant small hotel in the absolute best location in Kutaisi. The check-in system is really simple, the host is always available via booking in case of questions. My room was super clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was just perfect. Extra point for the free shampoo AND shower gel, not a useless mix of the two.
I would consider going back anytime, I can highly recommend this place.
Cozy small hotel in quite place in Kutaisi.
Very friendly staff and owner of the hotel)
In the room there were everything what I need - Internet and table, bed, shower, small fridge and kettle.
I am staying here every time when I need to meet somebody from the Kutaisi Airport or if I need to fly to another country using Kutaisi Airport.
Hotel has got private parking 🅿️.
We loved staying here. Location is the best thing about this hotel, this is the area where you want to be in when visiting Kutaisi. It's a family hotel so you get to see them going about their normal day and always greeting and smiling when they see guests. Vlad was very helpful and offered to take us to the airport for a really good price. We will for sure stay here again.
"Staying at Memory Basket in Kutaisi was an absolute delight for our group of six. From the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms to the mouthwatering deliciousness of the food, every aspect exceeded our expectations. The hospitality extended to us was exceptional, making our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel for anyone visiting Kutaisi!"
Beautiful hotel in Kutaisi. I got a deal on Booking.com and it was wonderful value for what I paid, too! The breakfast is incredible. Staff was AWESOME - helpful and friendly (which was helpful as not many people spoke english around town). The room was very nice and very quiet. Wi-fi is FAST downstairs (not so great in the room).
The owner was super helpful, ready to fulfill all our requests and needs: be it minor like borrowing a corkscrew, or major, like last minute rescheduling of transfer to the airport in the middle of the night.
The hotel is located on a hill, next to Bagrati Cathedral, which provides stunning view on the town and the mountains.
I and my family were in Kutaisi for one night and stayed in the excellent Hotel Goldenera. I am very happy that in our country is a Hotel like this with exceptional Hostess Nino. Clean, nice, and cozy rooms to stay in in Winter, but I think I will come back again. Recommend to all guests from Georgia and around the world.
Location of the hotel cannot be better, directly in the center. But most of all was the perfect approach of the staff, who provided us with a ride to the airport very early in the morning and also prepared breakfast to go. It was my second stay here and next time I will decide the same.
Me and my friend stayed for the last day before we flew back home as it was close to the airport. This place really exceeded our expectations as at first it just looks like a regular small hotel but then behind it, it has this great backyard. I really recommend staying here!
Very friendly host, treated us with Georgian wine in the evening. For additional charge host also provided transportation service from Kutaisi airport to the guesthouse (our flight arrived in the night). Host also offers trips to prominent locations in Kutaisi neighborhood.
Great location just on the marshrutka's bus stop. Good chooise when transfering from Kutaisi airport to other parts of Georgia. A lot of shops nearby and even McDonalds. Rooms were clean and tidy. Note - to get to hostel you shoud use elevator.
The hotel was in a quiet place and I could have good rest in the nights after being out all day. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. They arranged for a taxi to transfer me to airport promptly.
The location was great, very close to the center. The hotel arranged airport shuttle which was ok even our flight was very early morning. George was very helpful
