Location was great all amenities close by, room was very dated and rough around the edges
Breakfast was not included in the price but was cheap enough as a Weatherspoon's

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff.
Loved the quirky touch with the decor and various soft toys throughout the pub restaurant and room.
Evening meal was excellent (didn't have breakfast)
Bed was good size and firm. The shower was excellent.
Would definitely stay again and more than just one night.

Village Pub with rooms, busy and lively on the Easter weekend. I arrived after the kitchen shut but they kindly fired up the stove again and supplied me with a tasty meal. Cheerful and friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble even after a busy day. Breakfast was good. Big carpark behind the pub, which is in a small village just off the A1.

Bedroom was fair,bed extremely comfortable.
The bathroom a disaster, far too small, had to squeeze past sink to use the toilet and you were leaning on the sink even then . Not good at all.

It was a good price for the area and a good location for what we were planning the next day. Quite village and location with parking. Nice staff and pub.
Bear in mind you cannot check in till after 4pm.
Rooms are fairly small but they have everything you need.
The only reason why I have given it a lower rating is because beds are very important as a good night's sleep does matter. I recommend the hotel invest in good quality mattresses as it pays off. Invest in some black out blinds so people can sleep if they like it dark. If these were done then I would stay there again.
