The room was as modern as you could expect in a listed building, Dinner was excellent Breakfast was good. The grounds offered enough paths to stretch your legs after dinner. The Bar served a good selection of drinks but was limited to bottled beer as draught beers were impractical due to the limitations of the buildings listed status.
Overall would definately stay again in the future.

An English village with 2 excellent pubs within easy reach - The Barge Inn at Seend Cleve (5 minutes from Swallows) on the canalside, ideal on a warm sunny evening watching the sun go down with a glass of wine, and The Well in Bulkington (10 minutes from Swallows). Events at Cleve House (by Swallows) could provide a different evening's entertainment - last year while we were there, was open-air performances of The Merry Widow, and this year was Romeo & Juliet - if this is might be of interest, it's probably worth telephoning Cleve House to check, as their website didn't mention Romeo & Juliet when we looked prior to travelling.
We absolutely love the location of The Swallows as it is nice and quiet but close to other Seend and lots of pubs and restaurants. Carol and her husband are exceptional hosts, taking care of us and taking an interest in our house-hunting expedition. The underfloor heating was a real bonus, and the decor is so nice that I got the code for the paint used. Also can't fail to mention Benson, their gorgeous dog who accompanied us at breakfast every morning.
Breakfast was good, fresh eggs from the chickens on site. Lovely outlook. Cereals available. Was asked if we required extra. Room was comfortable and bed was lovely. Nice shower, plenty of tea and coffee. Seend is between Devizes and Bradford on Avon, so great location.
