The place is great, it is located in less crowded part of the city near to Tolcarne and Glaze beaches. You can take a peaceful walk or just stare on the ocean. The hotel is fresh and clean the same applicable to all the rooms. There is a swimming pool (outdoor + indoor) and sauna on the lower ground floor.

Location was remote and quiet.
Pool available but did not use as arrived late and left early.
Electric Car Charging available but some 3 hour rule when only one car charging is a bit daft.aware that chargers are not controlled by hotel and overnight charging was available but hotel could not say from what time was OK.
Pine Lodge is a detached guest house situated in its own grounds standing well back from the road leading into Newquay. Porth and Lusty Glaze beaches are within easy reach with a level walk into town....

St Columb Major is not a destination in itself - but it is a wonderful centre from which to explore the amazing Cornish coast. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants for all tastes and we would recommend the Cornish Pasties and fish and chips for lunches on the go.
There is plenty to do, but having a car would be almost essential.

Not too much going on in Saint Columb Major itself but it is central to everything else you may want to do and see in Cornwall. We downloaded the Iwalk Cornwall app and found some lovely walks. We only went to do the Eden Project which was amazing but we also visited the local bird sanctuary which was very interesting and worth a visit along with a couple of walks. Our aim was to have a little RnR which is exactly what we did. We were lucky with the weather too,
