A return visit to the Duke's Head and as before, a hearty welcome, spacious, quiet room, clean and comfortable bed and shower. We love the location and atmosphere of this grand old pub. Thanks again to Pat and Maraigd for their hospitality.

During my travels through London, I have experienced numerous accommodations, and I must commend the Selwyn Hotel for making a truly remarkable impression. The atmosphere was exceptionally warm and welcoming, a perfect respite following our journey from the States. The comfort of the beds significantly enhanced our first night's stay.
Located in Richmond, the hotel was an ideal base for exploring local sites. The staff consistently extended a warm welcome, making our visit even more enjoyable. The manager personally ensured that we were well cared for, further exemplifying the hotel's commitment to outstanding guest service. Each staff member we encountered was both friendly and professional.
I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to London, during which I intend to return to the Selwyn Hotel. This stay was a standout experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking exceptional hospitality.

Didn’t get chance to see more than the park but it was worth the stay just for that. We were visiting for a sporting event nearby and we were perfectly situated. The surrounding area looked lovely, very green and clean. Walking in London and seeing wild deer is a must

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. Loads of lovely small back streets with unique shops to wander down. Loads of places to eat out. Views from the bridges were amazing. Everything once parked up just seemed within walking distance.

We liked the restaurants and cafés.
We liked the restaurants and cafés. There are many interesting places to visit nearby. We enjoyed Syon Huse, Osterley House and the London Wetland Centre. It's an easy train journet to Waterloo Station for Central London. I wouldn't want to live under the Heathrow flight path.

The people that run the property are fabulous, some of the nicest people anywhere, also, this is a pub hotel, enjoy a beer or cider while checking in. We enjoyed a great breakfast every morning and it is included but we ate dinner there both nights that we stayed. The dinners were delicious and there was plenty of food. The location was also great, it is halfway between the train station and Richmond Hill Park. Listen to Pat for directions, he is very helpful. The room was large and everything worked.
The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and accomodating. The Hotel was a short walk from the station with links into London and also a short walk into Richmond.
The room was well equipped and clean. We arrived early and the room had been prepared for our early arrival so we were able to check in. The car park was small but we were lucky enough to get a parking space which was a huge bonus. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
The Amazing grounds; which are always so beautifully cared for. (Whatever the weather/season) .This is a genuine oasis. I can’t believe it exists so close to London .commute by train and bus From Surbiton:-50 minutes. Teddington train 40 minutes. Perfect for the West End and anything in central London Once found you will keep Coming back. It was super posh, but has now moved with the times and is elegant, but not stuffy ; Casual elegance .
Fantastic location in Richmond with its fantastic parkland, shops and great restaurants all within walking distance.
Talha (Duty Manager) is an absolute credit to this hotel. He was very polite and professional and genuinely cared that we enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and the bed was amongst the best hotel beds that we have slept on. We look forward to staying here again and Talha and his team is a main reason for this. Thank you!
We travelled as a young family (with 2 children under 2) to Richmond for a wedding and stayed for one night at The Orange Tree. I can not fault the staff, cleanliness and location of the hotel - we were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in and the staff couldn’t do enough to help us with anything we needed. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Highly recommend! We loved our stay so thank you to all at The Orange Tree
Classic British house, maybe Victorian-age built. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Tesco supermarket and subway station close by. Friendly hosts. Clean and cosy room with private bathroom. Free wireless internet and many electric devices available (ex. frigde, hair dryer, microwave oven, kettle, TV etc.). Best quality/price ratio in all London. I may return next year if AELTC will provide me another Wimbledon Centre Court ticket.
A beautiful hotel in Richmond. A good alternative to stay as a base to visit Central London. A short walk to the railway station with district line and main line services to the city. A short walk also to the Richmond town centre and the Thames. All the staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and also liked the Red Cow pub just up the road.
Everything. The hotel is in an amazing building overlooking the river Thames. 5-10 minute walk from central Richmond and the subway station. Has available parking and a good Restaurant. Space for conferences and meetings. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable. A lot of sockets with standard and USB connections.
OVER THE PAST 20 OR THIRTY YEARS WE HAVE NOT ONLY STAYED AT THE PETERSHAM HOTEL ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS UT HAVE ATTENDED COMPANY FUNCTIONS AND HAD ANNIVERSARY LUNCHES/DINNERS THERE. UNFORTUNATELY ON THIS OCCASION ALTHOUGH THE ROOM WAS SUPPOSEDLY UPGRADED MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED
Clean and smart hotel. the location is fantastic - opposite Richmond Station with regular 20 mins trains into London Waterloo. Great breakfast and helpful staff
Location was good, handy for Twickenham as well as tube to central London. Inclusive parking is a plus. Communication with the owners with prompt and clear.
Not to far from the water front and shopping areas. It was a small hotel in an old house in a neighborhood area, so it felt like we living like locals.
