Breakfast was excellent- but the main pleasure was the wonderful warm welcome and courtesy from the truly exceptional staff.

Loved that it was Eco friendly
Great space, clean, tidy and had some games to play
Emma the landlady is lovely and very hospitable.
Thought the toilet might be an issue, but actually it was great and got me thinking how we can be more eco friendly at home
Chequers Hotel is situated in the large village of Pulborough, on the edge of South Downs National Park. Free Wi-Fi is provided, as well as free on-site parking.
Set within its own picturesque grounds, this award-winning former coaching inn, dating back in parts to 1430, provides traditional accommodation and a luxurious spa in the historic Sussex market town...
Conveniently placed on the A272 in the middle of Sussex countryside, this historic 5-star country inn encapsulates a balance between modern sensibility and rustic charm.
A very pretty market town in the heart of West Sussex.
A very pretty market town in the heart of West Sussex. Lots of upmarket places to eat and an exceptional deli. The town has easy access to Petworth House and Park, a beautiful National Trust property with stunning interiors and fabulous walks. There are many antique shops, interiors shops and some smart boutiques, and the excellent Newlands Gallery, which curates terrific exhibitions - really first class. The combination of country and tiny town (more of a large village, really) is enchanting. It's the perfect place for a weekend break.

Lovely village and countryside, so many lovely pubs and inns to choose from. We chose to stay at the Welldiggers Arms and The Old Station B & B. Great choices. Will go back and try the Badgers Inn and stay at The Halfway Bridge Shepherds Hut to drink more Silly Moo Cider...

Great place to visit, huge amount of artwork and statues although the lighting did make it difficult to appreciate the paintings to their full glory. The grounds had lots of areas to walk through and a day of sunshine made it more enjoyable

Excellent and faultless on all aspects.
Excellent and faultless on all aspects. A traditional B&B as I remember them from years ago. If you're hesitating whether to book Kilsham Farm don't, just do it, you won't be disappointed.

Good hosts, lovely shepherds hut wonderful views.basic washing facilities but adequate for the short stay. Ordered takeaway from Petworth and we agreed it was the best Indian food we have had. Local town is lovely antiques shops galore! Took trip to arundel which is close an also beautiful.
The room was absolutely perfect for what I needed, very near to Petworth, off the main road and away from traffic noise, in reach to walks and AONB. Has its own private garden terrace with table and chairs, courtyard to clean bicycle and shoes, and inside was complete with breakfast, coffee/tea, fruits, bread, cereals and I was also amazed at the fridge contents (juices, milk, yoghurt, water bottles). The ensuite bathroom is a delight. I was charmed by all the small details. I will definitely pack much less next time I come back !
The food was mediocre but the staff was lovely, they accommodated my dog for extra money but I had to bring my own dog bed. The room was nice but it seemed a little over priced. It stated that the rooms had patios which I wanted for my dog but only 2 or 3 rooms do and we didn’t get one although I should have confirmed by phone what I wanted so that was my fault. No great dog walks from there but close to Petworth which was nice.
We recently enjoyed a stay at The Cricketers’ Arms Inn at Duncton. Our accommodation was on the ground floor in a delightful stone converted barn, and the staff were most welcoming, so obliging and helpful. Breakfast in the traditional dining area was excellent and served to us by friendly staff. The location was very good for walks through fields which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. A most pleasant stay. Thankyou.
This is an absolutely gorgeous flat, perfectly located in the centre of Petworth. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom is newly refurbished and the living area is generous and well equipped for a weekend away. Excellent communication from the host and some superb recommendations in the local area. We wouldn't hesitate to book again!
Our room was in the converted barn and was absolutely wonderful. The Landlady and staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, both evening and breakfast. Highly recommend The Cricketers if you are looking for a lovely relaxing stay and also very convenient for Petworth National Trust.
Staff were outstanding. Wonderful little things like remembering our names. Food fabulous, rooms really lovely, would highly recommend this gem of a hotel.
Amazing as you pull into the car park, and everything after that just gets even better.
We were made very welcome and shown to the room in the farmhouse which was very comfortable with a generous and modern en-suite.
We drove to Petworth for an evening meal.
The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast really excellent.
The location was wonderful, the staff extremely friendly and considerate and the bar area and outside terrace were homely and extremely well decorated! The room was pristinely clean too! The wine was very good and the food better!
Really cute property with everything you need. Be perfect for a weekend getaway to walk Petworth and enjoy sitting outside. Great location. And like the parking outside the gate.
Everything was new and clean and very welcoming
Great location and really pretty property. This was a return visit, we stayed last year and were as delighted this year as we were last year. It's really convenient for Petworth House, the town and the Newlands Gallery.
The breakfast was excellent, the hosts were outstandingly helpful and kind. The property is in the middle of the countryside, easy to get to , yet very good for walking or visiting Petworth. I would highly recommend it.
very central location and with a big car park right at the rear of the property. Short level walk to everything in Petworth including the lovely Petworth House. Lots of good restaurants and interesting little shops.
The hotel kindly upgraded our room as it was our anniversary, it a gorgeous room! Thank you.
Breakfast was delicious and all locally sourced produce.
Lovely location very near Petworth House and gardens.
The location was ideal for visiting the Weald and Downland Museum, West Dean Gardens, Petworth House , Uppark, and Fishbourne and Bignor Roman villas. It was also close to Chichester and the coast .
Fantastic room in a beautiful old building. Very close to Petworth and Pertworh house. Quiet countryside location. Breakfast very tasty and great fresh coffee. Would stay again
worked out perfect for us as we had a wedding nearby at the Upwaltham Barns all other rooms were way back in Chichester!!
Converted barn/ granary into 2 comfortable rooms
