Beautiful farmhouse, set in lovely countryside. Zoe was the perfect host. Lovely breakfast and the homemade biscuits were lovely. Room and communal areas were very clean, Zoe even lit the log burner for us in the lounge.

Beautiful grounds, lovely comfortable sitting areas in the main building. Nice spa, and the superior king room was spacious and comfortable. The staff throughout the venue are friendly and helpful.

- Stayed in Garden Apartment, spacious, loved the decor, clean, all the needed facilities provided.

Only nice thing was the land and gardens, everything else was a dive. No aircon in room really old bathroom and dirty floor granite. Really needs upgraded. Wish we staying in a Premier Inn instead. We had breakfast included but wasn't great at all we opted to eat out on the second day. Really don't recomend at all.

7 adults stayed here for the weekend. Such a beautiful cottage, with everything you need at hand. The cottage is massive! Plenty of space to socialise, or if you want to, relax on your own. The weather was glorious, so we enjoyed soaking up the sun in the garden. It was so peaceful and the views are stunning! We would definitely recommend staying at Blackpool Farm Cottage.

A great place to relax and get away from everything for a short while. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable and the grounds were good for gentle walks - we didn't play golf but it's there if you need it!! The main restaurant wasn't open but the food in the on site pub was good.

The photo and description of the rooms are not correct, the window was that small and high you could not see out of it, no comfortable lounge chairs in room as it was too small. Stuck up in a attic room with a sloping ceiling
Pool area not clean towels left on beds not being used and cups and drink bottles left, changing area not clear, slippers and towel left in there, for over a hour
Make your own bed ! What’s the excuse for this

We planned for a luxurious stay, maybe our very last holiday and needed and booked an accessible room. Our first berth was a suite, very acceptable but an awkward trip from the lift and without bathroom aids. When the lift broke down our second room was so far from reception that we had to use the car to get there due to my partner's disability - and given the daily change in room rate was sometimes dearer than the suite, which we only found out at check-out. Isolation, inconvenience and uncertainty completely ruined our stay and we could not possibly recommend the hotel as it presently managed.

Hotel staff are very helpful, sauna and swimming pool are right on the hotel and clean. The pub menu hasn't got loads of variety, but the food was good, also not a good variety of drinks available at the hotel and the pub.
The hotel is a fabulous building internally and externally but is looking a little tired in relation to furnishings, fixtures and fittings. my son said it felt like a nursing home re the style of the furniture in the bedrooms etc
was a really cold day in Jan and great to see the main fire lit in the afternoon when we arrived but it wasn’t lit in the evening after dinner when we would have liked to have sat around it

Very comfortable Macdonald hotel. Staff very welcoming, helpful and cheery. Facilities good, quiet lounges, good pool ,sauna etc. Pleasant room, quiet, spacious, not too hot. Lovely grounds, golf course and situation. Pub was cosy with huge wood burner and good food and atmosphere on a Sunday night. Travelling on my own I was welcomed.
Staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel was clean and our room was comfortable. The pool and facilities were perfect to relax in after a walk in the hills.
We took our two small dogs who were well catered for and joined us for breakfast in the bar area and in the Linden Tree Pub for dinner.
Breakfast was great and the evening meal was lovely. I had a lovely room near the Spa and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are always pleasant and always have time for conversation. The Spa staff are also very nice, friendly and do great treatments.
The staff were friendly and helpful but obv overworked...the bar maid served the drinks, delivered the room service, served the breakfast. I got the impression there were more staff in the empty spa than the hotel.Good comfortable bed.
We were attending my sons wedding, brilliant hotel and spa facilities, nothing was a trouble for any of the staff, they were fantastic.
Especially the duty manager Jessica who made sure the wedding went ahead without any problems
The room was very pleasant and quiet, even with the window open we heard no noise from the wedding party that was going on in another part of the hotel.
