We picked the DD off the internet - and it was a find! Beautiful old pub, gorgeous location. The evening meal was one of the best we have had. Our (upgraded) room was still quite small, but delightfully furnished and very comfortable. And where else would you be left with a carafe of home-made vodka! Staff were friendly and helpful.

Check in was with a warm and friendly manner; bar staff very attentive. Evening meal was beautiful again with attentive staff. Or room was amazing, lovely and clean with great facilities. Breakfast was also great food with attentive staff. We would definitely go back but extend our stay.

It is central for a lot of places in Norfolk. 30 minutes gets you to Holt and the coast at Sheringham.
We eat at the local pub Rose and Crown in Harpley very nice food. There is also the Dabbling Duck Pub in Great Massingham. Lovely butchers and village shop in Great Massingham with a cafe at the back.
