Highworth is a lovely small market town with lots of interesting history. It has a very useful visitor centre with a small museum. The surrounding area is beautiful with a lot of ancient historical monuments and sites within easy reach. The cotswolds are on the doorstep and it is an easy trip to Bath.

Loved the location and fantastic food.
Loved the location and fantastic food. Room quite tired and could do with comfier beds. Great value for money. Met some friendly locals full of knowledge of the town's history including the tunnels that go under the town from every pub to the church. There's even an original door to it in the cellar bar a few doors down from the Saracen. We are vegetarians but even I was tempted with the food on offer in andd outside the local butchers and the Saturday market was a pleasure to walk round.
Bar staff were lovely, friendly and polite.
There was a function on when we arrived and the carpark was full but there was free parking in the market place across the road from the hotel/pub.
Pub food in the evening was nice - large menu choice.
Bed was comfy, tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
The Hotel (pub) location was right in the middle of the down. On site parking was available. The pub was busy in the evening and the service and staff were excellent. Didn't eat in the pub but the menu looked very good and the food being served look good.
Friendly welcome from Toni and clear instructions for entering the Hotel (Pub) after it closed for the evening. 11pm in this case on a Friday night. Good choice of beers and a great cooked full English breakfast.
As a lone traveller i appreciated the kind and attentive service of the staff, both in the restaurant and room servicing. I felt really welcomed.
It was great that the hotel is right in the centre of the town .
We had a lovely one night stay at Saracens Head Hotel. The room and bed linen was clean. It was calm and quiet throughout our stay. Staff are helpful and friendly. We had the best sleep here.
