The Coach House is a beautiful place to stay when in the area. We had to take a slight detour from Hadrian‘s Wall Path, which we were on, but it was well worth it. The cottage is situated at the end of a private driveway surrounded by a luscious garden. Everything was tastefully decorated, nice and clean, the bed very comfortable, which was welcome after a long day of hiking. For dinner and breakfast we had to head down to the Boatside Inn about 20mins out, but it was well worth it, as the food was delicious, the staff lovely and the walk there and back beautiful. It also gave us an opportunity to check out the local Quoits team, which was quite fun! We hope to be back!

The whole package! Carolyn and her husband exceptional hosts, quiet location with beautiful views, breakfasts perfect. We loved the fresh berries, muesli, mixed seeds, yoghurt - plus a full English breakfast. The bed was super comfy and room spotless. Location couldn't be better. A really beautiful hotel with fantastic, friendly, welcoming staff. It looks just like something out of a picture book. We had the fortune to have both diner and breakfast during our stay and the food was outstanding. The room was really quiet and a good size (we were in the library room, complete with a slew of books!).
