Bonsall is a lovely old village with lots of history.

Bonsall is a lovely old village with lots of history. Very unspoiled. You can buy a pack of walks which take you round the village talking about places of interest! In a good location for other interesting places such as Cromford, Matlock Baths. We ate at the Fountain cafe and Barley Mow. Highly recommended.

It is a very attractive, friendly village that fits perfectly into the surrounding dales. The Barley Mow pub has a great atmosphere, good food and friendly and efficient staff. There is also a fabulous café and a small shop. Anything you can't get in the village is obtainable in Cromford (2 miles away) which in itself is charming. If you like walking, this area is heaven.
