The breakfast was good value for money. The location was very central and near to pubs and restaurants. The room was dated but had everything you needed for a night. The dressing table was a plus. The bath was nice and wide and was easy to get in and out of. The room was clean. The owner/ manager allowed our parents to join us for breakfast in the morning. The room(room1) was light and airy.
With Norman cellars dating back to the 12th century and secret passageways in some of its rooms, this inn offers historic accommodation in Rye.

This is a fascinating old inn, dating back to 1420. There’s a great bar with a huge inglenook fireplace. The building is a veritable warren of rooms landings. Very quirky.
The Lookout Rye is in the centre of the historical town of Rye, high on the East Cliff with views across the river. It has free Wi-Fi and paid parking.

The staff were really attentive in very difficult circumstances. Only one person was on when we checked in which seemed very strange but otherwise she dealt with us quickly and efficiently. The 'hotel' was clean and the bedroom comfortable with a large ensuite shower room. The views from the room overlooked the beautiful garden area and on a sunny day were absolutely lovely. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed it very much.
