Beautiful, quiet area. Nice hotel. I wish that the hotel provided a written guide to the hotel amenities. I had no idea that there was a choice of Restaurants, no idea where the Pool was! No information was given at check--in. No information was available in the room.
The village was nice and Freudenstadt was easy to get to and explore. I wasn't there for activity, only for rest and the Traube Tonbach was good but Interaction of Rezeption Staff was poor. I didn't feel very welcome there.

I was visiting friends; we either walked or they drove me everywhere, but Baiersbronn seems to have good bus and train service; I don't think a car is needed to enjoy the area. It offers gorgeous views and many wonderful paths. We visited the Mummelsee one day and the Buhlbach glass museum another. That day we ate at the Forellen Hof there and combined with a walk through the forest, overlooking the valley, that was a great outing.
Christina was a wonderful host; she even found a local genealogist who helped with my family tree. Breakfast was so good and the dining room was so comfortable you wanted to linger and enjoy her variety of coffees. Beautiful woodwork throughout the hotel. it was a bit difficult to find but it’s rural beauty was worth the search, My daughters enjoyed meeting Hunter the black lab and got their “dog fix”. We would definitely return!
That's an exceptional place to stay when you're visiting Schwarzwald! Located in a very quiet area, near the hills and forest it is a real getaway! The apartment itself is extremely well equipped and nicely decorated, so thoughtful! It felt like home :) Very comfortable beds, a lot of space inside and, of course, outside. Very friendly hosts! Thank you very much! We enjoyed every minute there!

The personal service at this hotel is outstanding. Every request is fulfilled, and you only have to ask for something one time and you get what you need. The staff learn guests' names very quickly and they they know their guests wants and needs. This personal service differentiates Wellnesshotel Tanne from many others with similar facilities and offerings.
The room was decorated in traditional German style, the decoration was so cute! the best part - the balcony opens to an amazing view of the mountains and we can even see the Baiersbronn words on the hills! Breakfast was very good! lovely spread and super fresh. Memorable stay & wished we stayed longer at this cute hotel.
We really enjoyed the kind staff at Hotel Engel Obertal, as well as the beautiful surroundings. Our room was very large and comfortable, and we had a huge balcony. We also enjoyed the bar. I loved all of the pretty flowers outside that were so well tended. Wait staff in the restaurant were attentive and friendly.
I loved the menu, staff was really friendly, we could start 20+km hikes from the hotel without having to use the car (used Komoot app). Best spa I have seen in a hotel (2 sauna's, nude) 1 sauna inside and a steaming bath as well as a swimming pool (swimsuits). Great breakfast!
The owner and staff we very helpful. Offered me a wonderful covered parking spot for my motorcycle. I arrived on a very warm afternoon after a long ride and they gave me a fan for the
hot room, which really helped. Nice indoor pool and wellness facilities. All very good.
