The location was OK, it was a good point for moving around in Schwarzwald. The hotel and staff were very nice, spa area was very good as well , we had sunshine so we could also stay outside in the garden on lauge chairs. Breakfast was good as well.

it is a cozy little hotel in the Black Forest, perfect for a night’s sleep after a long hike. The restaurant at the hotel was cozy and had great service and the breakfast at the sister hotel next door is the best I have ever had. The ability to use the amenities at the sister hotel make this a great value for the money.

Beautiful, quiet area. Nice hotel. I wish that the hotel provided a written guide to the hotel amenities. I had no idea that there was a choice of Restaurants, no idea where the Pool was! No information was given at check--in. No information was available in the room.
The village was nice and Freudenstadt was easy to get to and explore. I wasn't there for activity, only for rest and the Traube Tonbach was good but Interaction of Rezeption Staff was poor. I didn't feel very welcome there.

I was visiting friends; we either walked or they drove me everywhere, but Baiersbronn seems to have good bus and train service; I don't think a car is needed to enjoy the area. It offers gorgeous views and many wonderful paths. We visited the Mummelsee one day and the Buhlbach glass museum another. That day we ate at the Forellen Hof there and combined with a walk through the forest, overlooking the valley, that was a great outing.
Wonderful location, the views and the surroundings are amazing, especially during winter time. The hotel is very comfortable, our room was very spacious, nice bathroom. There's too much light coming from the windows in the morning, but since breakfast is until 10h30, that's ok.
The staff was very friendly, especially the lady during our check-in and the gentleman that served us during dinner, as they both spoke in English with us, which was great. They were also extremely polite and welcoming.

very clean, personal very friendly, delicious cakes, rich breakfast, spacious rooms, large balcony, superb view from every room of the hotel. a big and well-equipped open-living for the gasts, suitable also for families with children.
warm rooms. a double room has one double bed plus an Ikea sofa, a big wardrobe and even an antechamber with a hanger, a big mirror and a shoe closet with a big board for different stuff.

What lovely staff! they went beyond to make me and my friend feel welcome. My friend had recently had some wellness issues which was why we chose to go to this area and they were so accommodating to my friend. the area was good for long walks.
Breakfast was amazing and the warming stone loungers where you could overlook the lovely black forest as the mist would roll up and down.

Really fantastic stay. Can suggest the breakfest with eggs. Best i had in my whole life! Restaurant is top of the bill. Realy good quality food combined with Swchwarzwald generousness. I recommend this to all travelers who appreciate friendly staff, Schwarzwald gemuetlichkeit and truly excellent food
- Location, location, location. 50 meters from forest, 20 minutes on foot to the nearest supermarket, 30 minutes to S-Bahn to Karlsruhe/Freudenstadt.
- Very well-lit in the daytime.
- Has a nice large balcony on the southern side overlooking the Tonbach valley.
Lovely place in the middle of the woods. Great nature around and a great place to relax. They have a wellness center with plenty of options that we unfortunately could not try because of time constraints, but they had accessible prices. A place to come back.
If the facilities had been open, the hotel was otherwise nice and clean, despite of an older model. Rooms were good sized with balconies and a good view. I could imagine that we would have had a great time and the value for the money would have been great.
The location was remote enough you could enjoy the forest and meadows of Baiersbronn, but took only a 15min hike to be in the town center and enjoying the finest deserts at Rialto Eis Boutique.
This is a must for stays in the area.
