From start to finish everything was perfect. We were a group of 8 and Filipe really looked after us booking us beach clubs, restaurants and taxis, nothing was a problem. The breakfast was amazing, pretty much anything you could possibly want and the local specialities were incredible. We stayed in two villas they were furnished beautifully and they both offered lots of space and comfy beds. We will return!

A very safe and beautiful city with amazing forrest and not crowded beach. You can walk day and night without fear.
Its possible to see tiny monkeys, hummingbirds, crabs and more.
Quadrado and centro are both well worth a visit.
Many restaurants at the quadrado, some overpriced, but in the back inside amazing views over the jungle.
The city should just invest in better roads, more streetlights and education in english.

Trancoso is still a nice historic place worth a visit.
Trancoso is still a nice historic place worth a visit. Yet be aware: places like Praia de Espelho and some other beaches are packed during weekends and even during the week in the holidays crowded. So while being a charming village still, it is fully discovered, overpriced and hard to spontaneously find a table in any restaurant, since it is generally full. Do not expect and picturesque empty village but be prepared for crowds.

Trancoso is pure magic.
Trancoso is pure magic. There wasn't one thing we didn't like about this beautiful place and hope to be back very soon. Our favorite spots were Capim Santo for dinner and the UXUA beach bungalows. We loved walking around. The moment you head either direction away from the main part of the beach, you basically get the beach to yourself.

Trancoso is a hidden gem, a small town with the most beautiful beaches, it has a lot of character with beautiful buildings around the quadrado, walking is the easiest way to get around, but the street s and roads are narrow and there are lots of hills so it will certainly help you to be fit!
There's a big selection of restaurants and cafes around the quadrado, some are quite expensive and not necessarily better than the cheaper places, don't judge a restaurant on how full it is as the nicest restaurant we ate at there, the UXUA Pousada was very quiet, there are also many beach bars from expensive to affordable, it all depends what appeals to you

Very pleasant and laid back community in Bahia state. Great nature but if you are looking for good infrastructure you might be disappointed. There are good restaurants, but they are not as inexpensive as in many other communities in Bahia and the region.
I really enjoyed my visit at Villa Pitanga - the actual grounds were beautiful and I was connected with nature the entire time I was on the property. Furthermore, Hernan kept a beautiful social environment, one that was friendly and helpful with any questions or requests I had. The entire stay exceeded my expectations, and was a wonderful place to come back to after sightseeing in the Quadrado, spending the day on the beach, or photographing the neighborhood.
This stay was the highlight of my trip to Trancoso. Having the outstanding breakfast every morning and pool area made the rainy days less upsetting. The place is spot clean, beautifully decorated, and has adorable cats that melt your heart by their affectionate manner. The staff is also great, and Jaque from the reception went above and beyond to give me all the information about the area and make me and my friend feel welcome.
the Villa de Bemposta is in a very good location in Trancoso. The host Francisco took the best care of me and showed me around and really made me feel at home. he has a great heart and is a beautiful sincere man. the room is very clean and has a good vibe. every morning there is a fresh breakfast made with everything that you want. i would recommend this place to everyone!
The place is quite nice, specially considering the price. Design is beautiful and you can tell they’ve used a lot of creativity to save costs.

It’s not really close to the Trancoso experience but in a 15 min walk you can get to the Quadrado easily.

Breakfast is a true highlight. A lot of pastry done locally, fresh natural juice every morning, fruits and fresh yogurt available too - trust me, as a Brazilian, I can tell you is really good.
The pool and view are exceptional. The breakfast is delicious and the whole place well kept.
You are close to the quadrado and not too far from the beaches mainly Nativos.
