From start to finish everything was perfect. We were a group of 8 and Filipe really looked after us booking us beach clubs, restaurants and taxis, nothing was a problem. The breakfast was amazing, pretty much anything you could possibly want and the local specialities were incredible. We stayed in two villas they were furnished beautifully and they both offered lots of space and comfy beds. We will return!

A very safe and beautiful city with amazing forrest and not crowded beach. You can walk day and night without fear.
Its possible to see tiny monkeys, hummingbirds, crabs and more.
Quadrado and centro are both well worth a visit.
Many restaurants at the quadrado, some overpriced, but in the back inside amazing views over the jungle.
The city should just invest in better roads, more streetlights and education in english.

Trancoso is still a nice historic place worth a visit.
Trancoso is still a nice historic place worth a visit. Yet be aware: places like Praia de Espelho and some other beaches are packed during weekends and even during the week in the holidays crowded. So while being a charming village still, it is fully discovered, overpriced and hard to spontaneously find a table in any restaurant, since it is generally full. Do not expect and picturesque empty village but be prepared for crowds.

Trancoso is pure magic.
Trancoso is pure magic. There wasn't one thing we didn't like about this beautiful place and hope to be back very soon. Our favorite spots were Capim Santo for dinner and the UXUA beach bungalows. We loved walking around. The moment you head either direction away from the main part of the beach, you basically get the beach to yourself.

Trancoso is a hidden gem, a small town with the most beautiful beaches, it has a lot of character with beautiful buildings around the quadrado, walking is the easiest way to get around, but the street s and roads are narrow and there are lots of hills so it will certainly help you to be fit!
There's a big selection of restaurants and cafes around the quadrado, some are quite expensive and not necessarily better than the cheaper places, don't judge a restaurant on how full it is as the nicest restaurant we ate at there, the UXUA Pousada was very quiet, there are also many beach bars from expensive to affordable, it all depends what appeals to you

Very pleasant and laid back community in Bahia state. Great nature but if you are looking for good infrastructure you might be disappointed. There are good restaurants, but they are not as inexpensive as in many other communities in Bahia and the region.
We had a perfect stay at Vila Som do Mar! Adrian and Carol were exceptional hosts and provided us with all the information we needed and more!
Breakfast was great and was also the time Carol would share her knowledge about the Trancoso's history, the native communities living in the region and other tips.

the staff is the best. Really kind and nice people, from the reception to the kitchen staff, everyone was polite and friendly in all interactions.
Breakfast is a true highlight. A lot of pastry done locally, fresh natural juice every morning, fruits and fresh yogurt available too - trust me, as a Brazilian, I can tell you is really good.
Janainas, the owners, are very, very nice ! You can see everywhere you look, the caution and care to make every stay a perfect one. It is not near the city center (quadrado) from Trancoso, but sincew everywhere you have to to in trancoso you need transport, I really recommend it !
We rented one of the houses and it couldn't be better, very clean, spacious and well decorated, only a few minutes walking to Quadrado ( restaurants). Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! I would recommend and go back again.

Perfect stay! Beautiful hotel, friendly staff who helped us book tours and restaurants, good breakfast and great location very close to restaurants and shops. The pool and bar was also a bonus serving cocktails.

We were disapointed, because the internet was not working and it was not clean everywhere! Also in the picture it looks like a boutique hotel but its just a house with 3 bedrooms!
