The Dudley is gorgeous and a perfect weekend treat or longer. Beautiful rooms with everything you need. My room was a queen and it was perfect.
The hotel has a cozy reading room with log fire and many other places to lounge and take it all in. The back patio was a perfect coffee spot too.
Fantastic to hear they take dogs of all sizes and the owner Charles showed me the studios and they were amazing.
Breakfast was cooked by Charles and Adrian who run the hotel and the food was excellent.
Such a great place to stay.

Daylesford is good any time of year.
Daylesford is good any time of year. Especially nice in Autumn. The Lake was beautiful with the sun on it and autumn leaves falling photographic. Wombat Hill gardens were lovely as was Hepburn Springs. Jackie's on Vincent is one of our favourite place to eat and we weren't disappointed.
Nice range of shops and historical buildings from the gold rush era. The Historical Society and Museum run by Volunteers is really informative and great.

Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly,...
Lovely country town, everybody helpful and friendly, especially at the hotel. Great little shopping and restaurants, cafes, etc. Beautiful scenery and surrounding areas. unfortunately we didn't have time to visit any spas, but will definitely go again.
The only downfall was the taxi service, which we had ordered to take us to my daughter's wedding. It didn't turn up, and after many phone calls, finally out hotel manager got one for us. Ditto when we left the reception, didnt show. Worse, was the limo that my son-in-in law had organised to take him and my daughter to their accommodation, didn't show after the reception. So everybody left, and they were left standing. Had to get a friend to come and get them, Spoilt a lovely day for them, as he had planned a romantic surprise. No real apology from the company, just refunded the money.

Daylesford is a Rural Victoria gem, filled with art galleries and great shopping, but most of all an awesome atmosphere where everyone is welcomed. The springs are closeby and wellness spas are abundant, as are a host of other attractions, but you will need transport (car/motorbike) to make the most of it.
The annual Pride ChillOut festival over the long labour day weekend is a must, a weekend filled with a host of events and where all the Daylesford businesses get involved. A truly magical time.
Retreat @ 34a was nestled up the hill away from the road. Upon arrival we opened the door to the warm fire going, music playing softly and a wonderful scent. House was immaculate and interior decoration was absolutely gorgeous. So much art to look at in each room, the most fancy collection of books, exceptional wifi, sound system and tv. A selection of puzzles and games. Heating everywhere. Luxury bath towels. And other touches which we’ll leave for you to experience yourself. Ps. You can go on a bushwalk literally through the back gate!
As long time lovers of Daylesford we can safely say this accommodation has surpassed our expectations in every way.
Every single aspect of this home has been immaculately planned. There’s not a single thing you could want for!
From the tiling to the tea cups every detail has been such a pleasant and luxurious surprise.
Getting to enjoy a girls weekend away with our own bathrooms was such a treat.
We are completely obsessed with this house and can’t wait to return.
Everything! The house itself is so beautiful & has so much character, one of the most memorable places I have stayed at
Surprises around every corner, it was the perfect stay, so close to town
Great communication with the host, they provided everything you need, towels, milk, tea, coffee, electric blankets, games, so so much, even had the heating on when we arrived which made the house super cosy
There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room
The Lake view is amazing, peaceful and lovely to wake up to with a coffee on the large deck.
Easy access to walking paths and Daylesford town
The house has tons of character and is thoughtfully decorated.
The location was very quiet with birdsong waking you in the morning, highly recommend Waterside.
The Host Tony was very helpful and quickly answered all questions
The location is excellent, the property with private river and gardens are amazing. The bath hub is beyond expectation. By the way, kangaroos are gathering in front of the bath hub in the early evening. It's such a great view. The house is cozy and the fireplace is easy to handle. Overall it's an excellent stay experience. 5 stars.
Location of property was central to the town, with parking available at the rear. The room felt a little bit tired, with signs of wear and tear. The room was clean with bed, couch and 2 armchairs, as well as plenty of storage. Bathroom with spa (didn't use) was also clean, but again, a little bit on the tired side.
Located on the outskirts of Daylesford, this motel exceeded our expectations of what a motel has to offer. It was really well furnished-attractive and comfortable, the bathroom was large and we loved the artwork. It’s across the road from the Fagners Arms hotel which has fabulous food and a lovely atmosphere.
Clean spacious modern house in quiet private setting. Kitchen large convenient and well equipped. Curved sofa seating great for group interaction. Beds very comfortable. Ducted heating and gas fire welcome as chilly temperatures. Good pre-arrival communication from Daylesford Country Retreats.
The staff were quite friendly and accommodating for my partner and I during our stay. The room was clean and well presented. The beds were made each day and we were provided fresh new towels. Great location as it was a short walk to the heart of Daylesford.
Was a fabulous property with everything you needed and Small details like board games and books. Incredibly pet friendly, our dog loved the fire place and was catered for with bowls and pet friendly restaurants in town. Would 100% recommend
Comfy beds, spacious and well equiped. Pet friendly.
Air-conditioning was a blessing on a very hot day. Great communication from property management. Would stay again if in the area.
Wonderful view, warm and comfortable house was perfect base for Daylesford. The kitchen is well-equipped for loads of cooking options. Bathrooms are comfy with excellent hot water.
A hotel quality stay in a cosy cottage. We loved relaxing in the sun trap garden, and snuggling up on the sofa in the evening. Plus, it was so close to the town and the lake.
