old cricket pavilion, Riding mill, Northumberland, hotel in Wark

A lovely little cottage which was comfortable and had almost everything we could have wanted for a one night stay. The staff were happy for an earlier check in time which was really appreciated as we were at a wedding at Healey barn for 2. The cottage has a comfortable seating area in front of a fire. Bring some wood if you want to use it. A comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and shower and toilet. The location is great for visiting near by towns like corbridge and hexham and as mentioned we were attending a wedding at Healey so this accom was great for that.

Spacious accommodation, all rooms were decorated to a high standard. The beds were comfortable. Clear instruction on arrival and departure. Lovely garden for everyone to use. The location was great, very quiet at night. There's a village shop across the road selling everything you might need for your stay. We will definitely stay in the apartments again.

Very well finished, attention to detail and good quality. We had a ground floor apartment which had a covered outside seating area. There were plenty of seats and even thoughtful blankets, which was a great bonus. The laundry room was free to use and also had lots of dog towels to use, having bathed your pup in the outside dog shower. Location is 14 miles from Kielder. The village also has a pub and shop. It was a little remote for our taste, but stunning countryside around.

Wark is a pretty village. The room was excellent value- it had a luxurious feel. Lovely selection of fruit to enjoy in the room. The dinner and cooked breakfast were of a high standard. Great covid measures in place. The cleaning staff in the morning were super friendly and deserve praise for their work in the rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
