All accommodation is heated and features a private bathroom, refrigerator and TV. Wi-Fi access is available. Apparently the rooms were renovated 5 years ago but they are still spotless. Real quality in the kitchen, wonderful comfortable bed and the first bathroom on our trip that didn’t have some sort of issue, in fact it was super. Great location, super friendly and helpful hosts , I doubt there’s much better comfort and value in Okakune .

Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge with satellite TV and an open fireplace. The staff was very responsible and helpful with our late check-in and volcano hiking tour.

Located in National Park, 16 km from Mount Ruapehu and 16 km from Taranaki Falls, Holiday Chalet offers a garden and air conditioning. This 3-star holiday home offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Place is comfortable, warm and cozy, even for a family of six people, 5 adults and one large teenager staying in it Excellent heat pump in the living room that maintain the whole place warm, but the bedrooms still have oil heaters for extra comfort. Kitchen and laundry fully equipped with appliances. Living room with set of sofas and big TV with Freeview. Good mattresses. Amicable landlord that helped with invaluable tips regarding mount Ruapehu visit. He also offered the space with table tennis and pool table in the next door available to us but we didn’t have time to use it.

The Ruapehu Park Hotel is at the foot of a large ski field and volcano at Mt Ruapehu. It is surrounded by two other famous mountains Ngauruhoe and Tongariro. We really loved the family rooms - they were warm despite the cold temperatures. The hot water systems (i.e. the showers) were excellent. Finding the hotel and accessing the car park was also very easy. The restaurant (the spiral) also served very high quality food. The cost of the rooms was outstanding value for money.

Pipers Lodge Accommodation is a 10-minute walk from National Park Train Station. Turangi is 41km away. The room was nice and clean. The staff members were so kind and friendly.

Located between the start and finish points of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Tongariro Holiday Park features a hot tub, barbecue facilities and rooms with either a balcony or a patio.

The holiday park is a 13-minute drive from Tongariro National Park and a 20-minute drive from Turangi Town Centre. Accomodations were clean, was perfect value for money, love how close it was to the mountain, toilets and showers were also clean so we were happy with everything :) Thanks very much!
