we were met by Bill the host who showed us round the property, it was warm and the log fire was lit, Bill explained that he would come in next morning when we went out to relay the fire and if not back by 15.30 would light it for us. this was so welcome after a day walking and cycling. And the fact that deer appeared every morning in the garden made are stay

I fell totally in love with this house. It’s like staying in an Agatha Christie coastal house from the 1930s - without the murders. Gorgeous sea views from our room. Sumptuous house seeped in history. Lovely morning stroll to the beach directly from the hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful. The food great.
